  • Total time, money and back saver!
First things first. I’ve never operated a paint sprayer. That being said, its not rocket science but there is definitely a learning curve and a technique to master. We had three darkly painted rooms that needed to be covered and the thought of hand painting 2-3 coats to cover was enough to just say “nope.” Instead we read the reviews and settled on this sprayer. It wasn’t the cheapest nor the most expensive but it got decent reviews. Out of the box it was super easy to assemble. The most onerous part was timing the paint thickness before spraying. But once we found the right consistency, it was smooth sailing. First time out of the box, we encountered overspray- easy enough to fix. Within a short amount of time we adjusted the nozzle and didn’t have too much trouble with overspray again. When we encountered it, we just dealt with it by brushing the overspray, letting it dry and moved along with another coat. That inelegant technique didn’t seem to impact the final finish. The unit was sturdy and powerful enough for our needs, and it was not cumbersome at all with the attached compressor and hose. The idea of a cordless was tantalizing, but waiting to recharge a unit wasn’t. So, get the compressor model. Hose was long enough to work a 10x12 room without too much jockeying. Cleanup is a chore, but we drew a hot soapy sink, let the parts soak a bit and then took it bit by bit. Easy to disassemble and easy to reassemble. Machine comes with everything you need to clean out spray holes, etc. We used latex which was less involved as far as cleanup. The results are awesome, dark paint covered in one good spray and a second targeted spray; and it saved us hundreds of dollars in hiring someone to do the same thing. Plus, before the product even shipped their customer service reached out with a direct contact for us to use were we to run into an issue. All in all, I recommend the product even for a total rookie. Just take your time and roll with the punches. Totally worth it. ... show more

  • Love it
Color: Gray
This works really well. I used it to paint (2) 20' shipping containers, inside was white and outside was dark green. It only took about 10 minutes to do the outside of one. Nice and smooth spray. Make sure you only use water based paint. Cleanup is a breeze, just fill up a bucket with clean water, spray a couple buckets through it to clean it. Super happy with it. Makes painting almost fun ... show more

  • Big Help for House Repair Big Help for House Repair
Color: Gray
My house gets a lot of sun and rain, so I must fix the walls every year. Before, I painted by hand, but it took too much time and energy. Hiring someone costs too much. So I looked online and found this sprayer. It works great! I just followed the picture card instructions (very helpful), connected the hose and nozzle, and started spraying. No need to thin the paint. It sprays fast and smooth, and doesn’t leak. Cleaning is important, but not hard if you do it right away. I shared photos of the parts, the instruction card, and the machine when it’s turned on to help others. This tool really saves me time and money. I’m happy I found it! ... show more

  • Pressure control knob popped off
Color: Gray
Update from 1 star to 4: the sprayer was replaced and the replacement worked well. We painted a shed in about 10 minutes. Getting it ready and cleaning out to definitely takes longer! The sprayer itself seems to work well though the directions are somewhat jumbled and hard to follow. On the 2nd try, we realized the little cylinder connected to the "spray or eject" switch in the gun was not positioned properly and prevented anything from coming out. When we took the tip off and pushed it all the way in, it worked perfectly. Original: Unable to really assess how well this sprayer does. The pressure control knob popped off on the first use, leaving it without power. I can't decide if I just got a defective unit and should try again with the same sprayer or if this is a design flaw that will come up again. ... show more

  • Awesome deal- but read the directions first timers!
Color: Gray
This is an outstanding deal. The machine itself is very sturdy. All of these sprayers pretty much work exactly the same. I did read the directions prior to using and if you take the time, you should have zero problems. There is a guy on YouTube that explains the setup, but it didn’t work for him at first. He didn’t read the directions. The actual nozzle goes on AFTER first prime. I’d advise buying an extended and elongated nozzle just to keep the fumes another foot and a half from your face. They’re universal and half the cost of the big stores. Cleaning is monumental for keeping this machine in top shape. Spend the time. Everything comes apart super easily. Love this sprayer. ... show more

  • If you value your sanity, don't buy this
This is an absolute nightmare of a product that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. If you value your time, sanity, health, just avoid this and other similar products for any painting projects that you have. Here are the problems; 1. Very low pressure: this forces you to hold the sprayer 2-3 inches from the object that you are painting and causes many problems. It slows down the painting. Compared to a better sprayer, it will take 2-3x more time to paint the same thing. Also, due to low pressure, you have to hold the sprayer close which in turn causes paint drips. Finally, if you mistakenly touch the object while painting, you have problems to say the least. 2. The nozzle clogs and is hard to clean. Before and after each painting session, you have to do a time consuming cleaning. 3. If you have to hold the sprayer in any position other than flat and straight, it doesn't work. If you are painting something on the ground for instance, you have to 'recharge' the paint pipe every 10-15 seconds otherwise it just sprays air. 4. Sprays paint balls that are not mixed with air, when the pressure drops for any reason. 5. You have to carry and drag the air hose with you all the time. It gets very hot as well and too hot to touch after a while. If you don't carry it, then it hits fresh paint and forces you to repaint... It is a nightmare. Do yourself a favor, spend the money to buy or rent a larger, more expensive spray painter. Even for small DIY projects, it is worth it. ... show more

  • So far, not bad at all.
I had to fight over whether to leave 4 stars or 5. I went with 5 because really, my complaint isn't huge. This is my first time owning one of these sprayers with its own little built in air producer. Been using various airbrushes for years, but I genuinely hate moving my tools from place to place and my air compressor is in a different place and used for pressure casting as well as for general, smaller airbrushing. I didn't want to move it around all the time, so I bought these. These little buggers really lay down some paint. My first time trying I was concerned my primer was on the thick side so I used the second largest nozzle and that was a MISTAKE. I downgraded to the smallest nozzle and things are better now. So far I have only run primer through it, but I will be testing out polycrylic sealer and enamel cabinet paint soon. At some point I also want to try it with woodworking stains and such. Will do my best to update. As for the primer, I have to thin it a tiiiiny bit. 1oz water to 20oz and I could probably go less water tbh, to get it through the runout cup fast enough. I don't want to risk it, but I almost feel like this could still push the primer fine if I didn't thin it at all. With the thinned primer, I am getting a slightly rippled texture, and I am not sure if its due to the amount of air this thing is pushing. The con I have for this unit is the air it produces is insane. And it carries paint WAY further than I want it to. I have decorated things over 10 feet away with little bits of paint that I did not want to decorate. Oh well. The primary way you control the amount of paint is through the nozzle size. That's mostly fine for preventing drips and runs. Its not amazing for reducing paint moving from air pressure or accidentally over-spraying. After the first cleaning I had thought the unit had stopped working or I had failed to clean it properly, but I disassembled and reassembled and it was working fine again. I don't know what I did, but it was apparently an easy fix. ... show more

  • Works great
Color: Gray
We used this sprayer with an oil based stain and sealant (SharkSkin brand from our local Rodda store) for our new cedar fence. We followed all of the directions and everything worked out great. Any problems that did arise was just user error, which was easily alleviated. The spray cord was long and easily maneuverable and machine itself is light and easy to pick up and move. Cleanup was simple. We plan on storing it and using it every two to three years as to perk up our fence. ... show more
