I admit I was hesitant about this crate. But I tore my foot up on one of the metal one so our camper. So I looked around and thought I'd give this one a try. We have a bluetick coonhound that's about 50 lbs. She is a teenager and our 15 lb mutt and her like to get rambunctious in the camper when we l
eave. We thought crating the bluetick would solve the problem but the mutt kept biting and jumping at the crate and they managed to flip it over. So we brought out the bungee cords and a little crate for the mutt. Three days we have left them on for a few hours and no damage. I really thought my bluetick might chew or tear the mesh with her teeth but she was pawing at it when I was letting her out and it wasn't damaged at all. We did put another bed inside but I've been pleased with the set up, break down and storage.

Excellent Soft-Sided Crate

I bought the medium size so my 8.5 pound dog can stretch out. I'm using it as a secondary crate. It fits under the desk in my home office, and it's perfect for days that I'm working there. r own she barks at everyone who passes by, and I need it to be quiet. I love this crate because it's open on three sides plus the top, so I can see her and she can see me. I leave all the windows/doors open, but the strap inside is attached to her harness. I give her a frozen treat, and she's happy. Features that I love: * Strap to attach to her harness so she can't walk away * Very large windows/doors * Windows on three sides, plus an open top * All the windows/doors roll all the way up I haven't used this for travelling, but I think it would work perfectly for that too because it folds up neatly.

Lovvvvveeee this kennel! My 85 lb golden retriever fit well in it and did great. I was nervous about the mesh but once I got him used to it and watched him while I had him kenneled the first time- I felt like he could handle it. I found this key. This kennel is well made & doesn't fold easily while my puppy is in it. Only complaint I have is that the leash strap on the inside doesn't come off. The only reason this is a problem is that if a strap is just left sitting in there for any amount of time, puppies and some dogs will try and chew it u
p. It's not that I wouldn't want the strap to be there to attach a leash to if I wanted to, but it not being able to detach at all is an issue for me. There is no where to tuck it in so that my puppy can't chew & possibly ingest it. So we had to cut it out. Which stinks because we might have wanted to use it in the future, but not every night while we're at home, which is when he is in the kennel.

This thing is awesome! My border collie gets anxious in new places and we use this to build him a little den when we travel with him. I like everything about this except for the mesh. I didn't give it five stars because the mesh, while it may keep out larger bugs like flies, the holes are too big to keep out tiny bugs. Also, if you have a rambunctious dog who jumps on the mesh, the claws of your dog may get stuck in it much more ea
sily than in a regular screening mesh. This is big enough that I can roll up towels and put them next to the mesh, to keep my blind dog from touching the mesh and getting his claws stuck. I also would have liked the top to have a waterproof cover that when open you can still have a mesh one, like in a tent, but if you want to close it in case of rain, you could. This has half cloth, half mesh as a top. Unfortunately, in my 76 years on this earth, I have learned you can only find exactly what you want if you see the item before you buy it. Even, than, maybe no manufacturer made it as you would like it. This item was a close as possible, big enough, for both my dogs, with nice large windows for ventilation on hot days and easy to set up and take down. My dogs are a 17 lb. dachshund and a 25 pound mixed breed. They are older dogs and will not try to get out on their own.

I've used dog carriers and kennels for years. I have a heeler and a miniature Australian Shepherd and bought the large. Both dogs can fit with plenty of room. Set up and tear down is super easy. Love this! Especially the dog bed this comes with.
