Top Amazon Reviews

  • High quality for a low price
Color: Tan Size: Medium Style: 2-Layer Orthopedic
The bad reviews seen for this product don't make sense in any way. Let's break it down here. 1. It really has a 2" layer of human mattress quality memory foam. 2. This is topped with a 2" layer of "egg crate" style high density foam. 3. Easy to remove washable fabric cover with a soft feel and a non skid underside. Mines been washed 3 times and looks new. 4. The fabric cover is a modern material. That means stain resistant, durable and easily washable without being heavy and bulky. People over 50 are usually trapped in the 20th century when durable ment canvas or leather. Gram and Gramp don't get it, never will, don't listen to them. 5. Other folks think product companies are running charities. Successful companies make good products at fair and competitive prices so they can make a profit and stay in business. This is a very good product for an excellent price of $25. It will last year's and you will know this as soon as you receive it and look it over. I see no reason mine won't last at least 5 years. So value? How about keeping Fido comfy for 5 bucks a year. Got a problem with that than dog beds are the least of your problems. 6. Finally some people are wack jobs and nothing makes them happy. They use product reviews to vent thier dissatisfaction with themselves and the world that they lack the perception and intellect to see and separate the good from the bad. Don't listen to those nuts either. 7. Buy this bed and make your dog happy and then get on with things that really matter. ... show more

  • Great and Durable Bed
Color: Tan Size: Extra Large Style: 2-Layer Orthopedic
The media could not be loaded. I am surprised by the reviews claiming the cover is too thin and won't last. I have had this 4 months and if you watch the video, you will see what it has been subjected to, every day, 2 times or so a day (and the video only caught the last 20% of the fluffing). This is his favorite bed, and he takes his sleeping very seriously. ... show more

  • The bad press is overstated in my opinion...
Color: Tan Size: Extra Large Style: 2-Layer Orthopedic
All the negative press here is partly accurate in my experience but, overall, I am pretty okay with this bed and just bought more for other areas. Agree that it is more like 2 - 3" thick, but don't notice any smell and my 140 pound great dane likes it. I have been teaching him to get on the couch when told he can and now it is a 50/50 chance that he will even want on the couch. About half the time he heads for the new bed on the floor in the living room instead and cannot even be coaxed to come visit. It does not feel like memory foam, but my dog likes it and, if he likes it, I like it, since it was for him. He doesn't act stiff when he sleeps on it and I repeat, he actually will frequently choose this over the couch no less. All in all, I think this is a decent product. Only wish was they made a larger size yet (as you can see from the pic...). UPDATE: I measured and it actually IS four inches... :) ... show more

  • Must have dog bed!!!!
Color: Tan Size: Large Style: 2-Layer Orthopedic
This is the best dog bed I’ve ever owned! At first I bought the XL and it sleeps my puggish dog and my catahoula great and has room for the neighbor’s spaniel as well. I just bought it in large too, because we recently acquired a mini pig. He’s gotten to 60-70 pounds and was rooting the dogs off the XL bed. Ha! Pros...is durable and retains its shape even after sleeping well over 100 pounds of dogs/pig every night, and I’ve had the XL for over 6 months now. When the animals are not on it, there are no dips or dents or shallow spots where they sleep on it. When they are all on it, it’s stiff enough so that they don’t touch the floor underneath. The animals have not been tempted to chew on it like they did some of the cedar smelling or poly filled beds. So it must be made out of something that does not tempt them. The cover fits tight to the mattress so it’s easy to vacuum. Cons...the only one I can think of is that the cover is very thin and not waterproof. I remedy the thin part by putting a blanket on top of the bed and tucking it under the sides of the mattress. Some dogs like to kind of dig around before they lay down, so that might be an issue if your dog does this. The waterproof part has only been an issue one time when the pig wet the bed in his sleep (Pigs are like toddlers, really. Ugh!) I washed the mattress cover and then stood on the mattress with a towel to soak up any excess. So, if you have an incontinent dog, might want to spring for the waterproof cover that you can buy extra. Also, the mattress is totally flat when it comes out of the box. It takes it a couple of hours to get to the full thickness, but once it does, it stays that way. It’s really great! The pic is the XL and the L side by side (with my personal blankets as covers). ... show more

  • Great bed, medium firm, soft outer, and my dog loves it
Color: Tan Size: Large Style: 2-Layer Orthopedic
Great dog bed. So many dog beds are full of poly fill, too loose, and just not something my dog wants to be on. This bed is firm'ish. Its half memory foam, and half egg crate. I dont force him to go onto his bed, but ive placed it in 3 different spots just this first day and i keep catching him chillin out on it. Winner! The texture is like a poly-satin outer layer, with the egg crate below it and memory foam below that. The bottom of the cover is non skid. If you needed to, you could insert more foam from wherever and make the bed firmer, but its not needed. My dog loves this bed, so I'm happy. We got the size L for a 73lb dog. ... show more

  • Great bed, great price!
Color: Tan Size: Extra Large Style: 2-Layer Orthopedic
Our 110lb 9 yr old boxer was just diagnosed with severe althritis. After it being recommended we get him an orthopedic bed I started looking around and doing research. I found this one and it was a good price and the size we needed. He loves it. Definitely seems less stiff in the morning. It expanded to about 4in after a few hours when we got it. It doesn't go completely flat when he lays on it, and comes right back when he gets off of it. He does scratch a little and it's held up without any issues. The soft cover is nice and really easy to spot clean. It is removable too. ... show more
