Each log has a steel rod insert for maximum reinforcement, and the vented design means they burn efficiently to reduce pollution and protect natural resources. Seriously. I researched for a few months looking for the best burner and log set. We have two fireplaces and when we purchased our home two years ago, the existing burner and log sets were crappy. The burners were old and barely off flames and the logs were very light like Styrofoam. After reading reviews and looking at pics I decided to move forward and purchase two of these sets. I couldn't be more pleased. When I went to grab the boxes off of my front porch I almost pulled my back out. This set is well made and the logs are HEAVY. They're like rocks and continue to put off heat long after you cut the burner off, which is exactly what I've been looking for. The set includes more than enough sand and embers. I only had to open one bag of each and that got me through installed both sets. So I still have a full bag of sand and embers to use in the future. My only suggestion is don't purchase the connector set and pick up the pieces from home depot yourself. I purchased the connector from this seller but my gas line is on the left side of my fireplace and the connector line wasn't long enough to run it around the back of the logs and connect. Home depot had exactly what I needed to get the job done. Other than that, installation was easy. The most difficult part for me was setting the logs up to look nice but my wife took care of that quickly. The logs look great and the sand/embers make this amazing. I can't walk by the fireplace without remarking about how happy I am with the purchase. We are now ready to host Christmas lol ... show more

Moved into our first home and previous owners used duraflame logs despite NG connection. so with some love and care we polished and cleaned up the fireplace. We have been waiting for the right time and setup to buy an NG connection. Our chimney cleaner scared me that it was going to be several hundred dollars for a whole NG setup. However, I couldn't believe my luck to find this setup and company on Amazon with great reviews. Delivery was literally spot on and setup was so friggen easy it took less than 1 hr!!! NG connections were a breeze, regulator is perfect, and instructions were NOT complicated!!! The package didn't really say it came with glowing embers or perhaps I overlooked that, so I had some on the side, and was so pleasantly surprised to find they came INCLUDED!! however, you will need to have rocks since that is NOT included. Our fireplace has now been running all day and we are just the happiest peaches in cream during this rainy weather! cannot recommend this enough!!!!!!!! thank you FyreLogs!!! ... show more

I bought this log kit in October of 2020. Installed it myself--very easy, took about an hour tops. Very pleased with the kit...looks beautiful, and so far has required zero maintenance. The logs are very heavy ceramic...this is not some flimsy kit. We have used it almost every evening during the cooler months. So nice not to have to drag firewood in from outside, wait for the fire to go out so you can retire for the night, and best of all, the house doesn't smell like smoke. Doesn't put out a huge amount of heat...if you stand in front of it you can feel it, but don't count on it to warm your house. Overall, we are very pleased with our purchase, and highly recommend this kit! ... show more

I ordered these for my fireplace with the hope they'd look realistic. As far as gas logs go, these look awesome! They appear to be fantastic quality. I can't speak to installation, as I had them installed. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I was nervous about buying this set. The cost was vastly lower than others I had researched. Upon opening the package I inspected the logs and was so relieved. The logs have a great texture to them. I like that I can arrange them how I please unlike other sets where the logs have to be puzzled together in a particular way. I have a small vented gas fireplace...this set fits in there beautifully. Very happy. Only had a couple fires so I cannot speak to how well these logs hold up however I expect they will do well. ... show more

These arrived Friday. Had them professionally installed Saturday. Smelled gas on Saturday night and Sunday but thought it might be the new log smell. Got home from work tonight and walked into a house full of gas. Walked out quickly and called 911. Gas company also came out and they told me they didn't think these logs were safe. Didn't like that there's no pilot light to light and you have to use the key to turn on and off. Said too much gas comes into the house and they wouldn't have them in their house.
