Makes a nice looking fire but I don't like the valve and pilot. It takes up too much room. I bought a simple hand valve and lighter.

Instructions are basically worthless, There are supposedly numbers on the logs but dang if I and my wife could find any, So log placement is difficult to figure out . And once fired up we have problems with soot on the logs, the only air adjustment is something that resembles a thin nut that you can screw away from the air vents ( if that’s what they are) on the burner. There are no instructions as to how to lean out the burner so you just have to guess . Tech support at Peterson hasn’t helped at all, they keep asking for more and more photos. I’ve been working with tech support for about 2weeks and my time to send them back is coming to a close so I think I’ll be packing them up and buying something else. ... show more

Complicated setup. Used professional to setup. Expect to spend $170.00 to have a pro do the job. Easy to operate and looks good. I use propane.
