My first day grooming my 10 year old Cavachon. We had to start grooming him from home after an incident/accident at the groomers, requiring extensive veterinary care. Diagnosed with IVDD, he is left with some nerve damage in his back foot ( "knuckling"). This hammock is exactly what I needed ! Something to cradle him, taking weight off of his hind legs. It is easy to put together, easy to store by folding and it is pretty sturdy. It holds my 17 lb dog. When I unboxed and put together, it appeared that the sides might be uneven, as it rocked sideways. This is minor & temporary, when you lock the folding hinges into place for stability. It is also lower to the ground than most tables, which helps with safety. I was very comfortable using a stool while I worked. The hammock is light enough to turn around as you work on your dog from every angle. The pockets are a plus, too, holding my cordless clippers and other grooming supplies. Take away: This product is a game changer for pets with handicaps. You might have to get your pet used to it with treats and time, but my pup took his first day being groomed "at home" like a pro. I was a bit upset when I first saw this assembled as the picture gives the impression you can stand while bathing the dog. It is only a few feet tall so I haven't tried it in my 60 lb bernadoodle which was part of my reason for getting it. However, our golden doodle had a litter of puppies and that has been difficult until we finally got this. Most of them are around 20 lbs now and only one of them was able to get a front leg loose a few times. The top is machine washable but you do have to disassemble it partially to remove it. Seemed pretty sturdy. We also put a rubber mat underneath it just in case. Overall I wish I could have ordered this sooner as it has made bath time safer for these puppies. ... show more

I wasn’t sure how my dog would react at first, but he stayed much calmer than I expected in this grooming hammock. The stand feels really sturdy, and it made nail trimming so much easier since. I also like that it’s easy to fold away and the fabric can be tossed in the wash. I’m really happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone who grooms their pet at home. ... show more

It's great. However if you have a small dog it does not work really well unless u have two ppl the dog slips through the leg holes..

I purchase this so that I could finally trim a difficult Cats claws. This was way too big and my cat easily got out of it. Not to mention, it looked like a tortured device. I was afraid my cat was going to strangle himself to death before I could get the neck part disconnected, but he got the rest of his body out of the holes and was pulling on it frantically. It was terrifying. It was not easy to use. It was not easy to put together and it’s very cheaply made. It seems like it would fall apart with the wind blowing on it not worth the money at all and it’s going to be returned. ... show more

I’ve used this grooming hammock a few times now, and it has made grooming my dog much easier. The stand is sturdy and folds up nicely for storage when I’m done. It keeps my dog secure without feeling too restrictive, which makes nail trimming and brushing a lot less stressful for both of us. The material feels durable, and everything was easy to put together. My dog absolutely hates getting his fur and nails trimmed, so this foldable pet grooming hammock is a lifesaver. His four paws easily fit into the holes in the hammock, making nail trimming and leg hair a breeze. I can groom him while sitting down!
