Overall the kanis dog table works great and is ideal for getting large dogs up on a table. Ideal for those who groom on the regular or for professionals. Definitely worth it and probably the best one on the market. despite my gripes, 4.7 stars. The good: Low position height, features, single arm holder, movement speed, easy to roll around (hard surfaces only), foot pedal operation is great, sturdy. The bad: It’s very heavy, plan on having two people to lift and assemble the wheels on site. The bottom position slams/ abruptly stops but can be remedied with some thin or small foam cushions at the contact point (see photo for cushion/ foam position) The motors also are slightly abruptly to start/stop at any position. Grounded receptacle is very tight, buttons on the handheld remote are hard to press and it would be ideal to raise to a few more inches for taller people. FYI: It starts squeaking in 20 cycles, Plan on oiling the joints early. For the next version: Kanis should add in a soft start/stop controller to the motors, make it out of aluminum framing to lower the weight, maybe add 3 more inches of max height. ... show more

Home use in our case. Clever wheel design permits leveling the bed using each wheel unit but - but - the wheel diameter is far too small in my opinion. Very difficult to move - due to very small wheel diameter. Another shortcoming - no assembly instructions provided. Video available but provides minimal detail. Should include step-by-step assembly instructions as lots of bits and pieces involved - not difficult to assemble but instructions for order of events would make it much easier than each new owner having to figure it out. Within two weeks unit began to groan and became 'jerky' on raising or lowering. I suspected the problem was a need for lubrication of the moving joints of the X-frame - each bolted connection. Contacted customer service; got excellent, immediate reply which confirmed my suspected cause of the noise/jerky movement and emailed to me an image with multiple points identified for lubrication of the X-frame connections. I used 'Three-in-One' oil and within a day the oil had seeped into all the needed contact points of each bolted 'joint'. I used liquid oil instead of a spray (e.g., WD-40) because I think the 'hang time' of oil will be much longer than that of the thin spray, so it should lengthen the time to next required re-lubrication. To lube the joints, suggest you raise the bed to max height and remove the 'drop in' bed. Lubrication access to all contact points (ten or so) is then much easier. After lubrication, unit is back to very quiet, very smooth motion, electric motor no longer 'straining' when lifting. Will replace the small wheels with about a three-inch diameter wheel with lockable design. ... show more

I have been putting off grooming the dogs that can’t jump up on their own due to my shoulder pain when boosting them onto the grooming table. Problem solved! I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and this table is quiet and goes low enough -just shy of 1 foot off the floor -that I have had no trouble getting dogs on or off the table. So far no one is terribly upset by the movement. I especially like being able to start on the back and slowly raise and lower the table height as I work over the dog. The cross bar isn’t much taller than the shoulder height of my big males and the grooming loops don’t stay closed for me even though the slide snugs down to the rings, but so far that has not been a problem and actually allows easier access when grooming the neck. The caddy works well even though the configuration is geared towards someone who uses more scissors than I do. Despite my fussing about details, the frame is sturdy and allows for the removal of the table top for cleaning or replacement. The mechanism is quiet and hasn’t spooked anyone. I consider this money well spent as long as the motor has a long working life. ... show more

We have 3 golden retrievers, and I groom them every week or as needed in between because they are all certified pet assisted therapy dogs, also. They have to be cleaned, groomed and ready to go out to do their therapy visits. This heavy duty grooming table is very helpful with grooming all three of our golden girls. It really saves my back. I love the safety features with the grooming bar at the top where you can use a collar and even put a harness around the dog to hold it on the table. I love that it lowers so low down to the ground so they can just step up on it. If I just say "Table," they will step right up on it. One of our girls will get on it all on her own if she thinks there is a treat coming her way. I love that it so quietly, slowly, and smoothly raises and lowers with either the remote or the for pedal which makes them more comfortable with it. The table is very heavy and very sturdy. I do not have any fears that it would collapse or give way with them on it. I love that you can make it so that the wheels are stationary so that it doesn't roll around, or if you want to move the table to another area, you can just easily adjust the knob and the wheels are very smooth rolling around to where you need it to go. A couple of other handy features are the tool holder, a small trash can holder that can be attached to the side of the table, and even a grooming cape is included. Also, I love that you can plug in your grooming devices such as your grooming vacuum, a dremel, a blow dryer, etc right in the front of the table. USB-C or regular plugs. Love that. My only concern after using it these last four weeks is... As I was using the grooming table to groom one of our golden girls, tonight, I noticed that my shirt kept getting caught on something on the front of the table. After it happened a couple of times, I reached down to see what it might be, and the front part that has the little plate with the KANIS logo on it cut my thumb. I have included pictures of the logo. I love the table, but I hate that I got cut from their logo. KANIS needs to update their logo. Other than that, it is a very heavy duty & sturdy grooming table that is very nice. ... show more

Ordered on a Friday afternoon and received Saturday morning, super fast! Amazon delivery guys were awesome, setting heavy box in my garage for me. Set up took less than 15 minutes as the instructions are clear. Overall the quality of table seems exceptional and the lifting mechanism is very quiet and smooth. Expensive but as they say, “buy once, cry once”! I didn’t want to risk buying one of the $400 tables and have to return it. ... show more
