We have a standard poodle and we purchased this to use between groomings to keep the matting away. So far it has worked for our puppy, his hair is soft and straight like we just had him professionally groomed. The noise level was fine for us, he's not super excited about having his hair brushed anyway so he has some learning to do there. But for the price and functionality, it was a win for our household.

I bought this for my standard poodle. I was sure it would help some but seriously doubted it would do the job. I bought a microfiber towel to go with this, after drying him with the towel really well, I took a break and had lunch. We got back to grooming about an hour later, I used both this and a people hair dryer. This certainly helped with getting out the loose hair and potential tangles. He was nice and fluffy dried in less than an hour. This made clipping so much easier, less going back over 100 times to make it look smooth. Scissoring was just a breeze because the hair was dried so fluffy, trimming was quick and easy. Thats a major improvement over the time it took before I had this dryer. The only con I had was a slight metallic sound when I worked with it upside down. That could have been my grip. Noise was not that bad really.

This worked fine on my West HIghland Terrier. It worked good on the body of my Cocker Spaniel, but is pretty much worthless on the thick hair on the ears, and legs of the Cocker Spaniel. It is totally useless on a poodle, unless your dog has thin hair. My poodle has coarse, very curly thick hair and this did not work on her at all. The concept is great, but would be much, much better if the air would come out of the brush itself, instead of a opening in the neck of the dryer away from the brush. If I only use it on the Westie, I feel the less than $30 is ok. I would have paid more for a brush dryer that worked on the Poodle.

I was a little hesitant about this purchase because some of the reviews complained about the handle and how uncomfortable it was to hold. I got it anyway, hoping it would help tame my toy poodle puppy's fluff and make drying time faster and easier on my senior schnoodle and maltipoo. It has done all of that! It's easy to use, handles well and dries the dogs pretty fast. They're small, all under 11 pounds, the puppy under 5. They get dry in record time, are silky soft and behave pretty well for it all things considered. The older two are very used to regularly going to the groomers so they know the drill and don't mind much. The little one is learning. I have never had the dryer overheat. It stays a very reasonable temperature that doesn't burn my fingers or the dogs. It has a very nice blower that isn't too strong or scary on their faces, on low or high. With just a little bit of practice, I can easily dry all three with little to no help from either another person or a head loop. A really great and useful tool for the price. I would recommend it for anyone who washes and dries their own dogs.

I bought this to dry and brush my shih tzu puppy and save money between grooming appts. This thing is absolutely a game changer for anyone with a long haired pet. It isn't as loud as my hair dryer and is much less scary to my puppy. Plus it saves me a whole step and if you have a long hair dog you know the struggle. I'm not being compensated in any way and I paid full price, so buy this and see for yourself!! Im so glad I did!!!

The media could not be loaded. I removed a star due to the noise level. So luckily it only takes a swipe or two to dry the dog. My fur baby was scared to death of this dryer probably because of the sound. He allowed me to dry his body but absolutely refused to let me get near his face and head! Overall, great product as i am able to wash my fur baby and avoid matting his hair as this product does quickly dry the dog, BUT it is definitely not quiet!
