The media could not be loaded. We bought this so our german shepherd has enough room when he’s sleeping inside the crate. He even still use it now, once in a while he will take a nap in there. He can stand in there comfortably and even do a nice sitz inside with the added height extensions.

Many aspects of this crate are good; sturdy, nice looking, plastic is quality...however there is sadly No Quality Control as the units are shipped. A simple visual inspection by manufacturer of this $535 Crate would have saved me A TON of time and hassle. Handle is defective, unusable and not engineered properly as noted by others here. With a 46" crate you really need the handle (not to pick up you dog in it) but to move it around/get it in, a room, out of car, etc. Door hinge bent preventing door from closing and latching..the whole purpose of a travel crate. I wanted to love it but for over $500 not worth it. Sent back for refund. ... show more

Bought one to be sure it is as sturdy as described. No kidding! I have had two different brand kennels, and this is by far the strongest and best made of them. There are more bolts to hold the shells together, and the rack under the provided piece of fluffy carpet is very strong. I bought a second crate so that each of my dogs has its own. While this crate is a bit bulky to transport and quite expensive, it met the IATA requirements to fly our dog in comfort and safety, which is why we purchased it. Down side: the handle comes off easily and is really insufficient to carry it. Upside: everything else is great. It’s easy to put together, meets the requirements to travel, and is comfortable for the dog (as much as flying can be). She likes using it in our house as her “den,” which is an added bonus. While I wish it came in another color, it was easy to spot from afar when we were looking for our dog in cargo. When i came across an issue with the crate I contacted them and attempted a return because its a ill fitting set. Unfortunately the label for return is not prepaid - and after getting the measurements it can be anywhere from 600-2000 to return it. They still haven’t replied. Amazon told me they have 48 hours to respond (2 business days) but I’m stuck with a huge box, non working and too expensive to return on my own dime. ... show more

It was expensive, but completely worth it. I wanted to make sure I was in compliance when moving to Denmark with my Spaniel. Other crate companies only have a few sizes to choose from, and most of them won't fit per the international travel guidelines. Pet Express offers a ton of choices and take into account that all breeds come in different shapes and sizes. Their customer service is great. They answer emails quickly and even offered good tips for acclimating my dog to his kennel and reassured me he would be safe on the trip. The kennel held up really well during the long flight. I got this kennel for our move to Brazil in October. It's exactly the size I needed, and my dog loves it. I can tell that she feels less anxious in this kennel than in her wire kennel. My guess is that this kennel gives more of a "den" feel, which helps her to relax. The only thing reason I'm giving this a four is because it came with zero instructions on how to put it together.
