We got two of these for our senior cats (each about 8 pounds) to replace some carriers we really liked but couldn't seem to get very clean after the last trip... heading to the vet just scares everything right out of these babies. So far, I like them, and they've gotten more use than we wanted after some unexpected emergency vet trips. One of our little ones even wants to sleep in hers, so they must be pretty comfortable. I really like that these have the privacy covers on the sides. One of ours is definitely a cave cat, she wants to be in dark cozy places all the time, so it's nice to have the option of windows or no windows. Having multiple points of entry is nice too - makes the in and out process easier for both of them, regardless of what kind of mood they're in at the moment. :) I was worried they might be too small, because the ones we found at local pet stores seemed extremely cramped, but the sizing seems perfect. With the doors all zipped up, they're very sturdy, but when you unzip, they can fold flat for storage, which is a nice design feature. I'd definitely recommend these carriers for folks with medium sized cats, and having different colors (one for each cat) is actually super helpful - our previous carriers were just black and basically the same design, so we didn't know which one belonged to which cat. It didn't matter too terribly much, but I'm sure they prefer to have their own spaces with their own smells and the color coding makes that easier. ... show more

I am one of those people that will read multiple reviews and stress over what item to choose from when there are many brands and choices available. I did this on this carrier and finally chose this one. My final choice was based by the larger size, the sale price and the high reviews. I nailed it on choosing this one. It is such a very high quality and excellent product, unlike the other carriers that I have had in the past. I used it to take some kittens to get fixed and it was perfect. It even has roll-up flaps on the sides that provide extra privacy to decrease the cat’s over-stimulation if you choose to use it. I will definitely be buying another one of these. This is a good carrier, spacious enough for my 12lb Shih Tzu, and I used it to travel to and from El Salvador. While Avianca airlines was a nightmare to deal with (no one in their staff is familiar with dog import laws to and from the US), the carrier was never an issue. I like the inclusion of the little pouch, which I used to store an extra emergency pee pad, and a roll of poop bags. There is a 'headphone jack' rubber hole in that pouch with I used as a dispenser slit for the poop bags. We used the top mesh hole a lot during travel, as it allowed for my pet to have some freedom without actually being outside her carrier. I kept the side panel sheets open during the whole travel session, but I knocked off a star because the velcro pieces that hold up the rolled up panels are flimsy. You have to apply significant pressure to keep them rolled up. I also didn't love the bottom plank, which is lined with fleece-like material on one side. It just floats around, and can't be firmly attached to the bottom. Another minor complaint is the long handle, which I ended up using a lot to keep my hands free during busy travel moments. The belt/long handle shoulder pad is super uncomfortable/thin, and the length adjustment buckle is unreliable and became useless early on during the flight back home. I obviously have knit picky issues with the product, but overall I think it's a solid carrier and I would recommend getting it if it fits your airlines size requirement / if you don't plan to travel via airplane. And if the airline seats are as small and cramped as Avianca's, you're going to want the slightly flexible but mostly rigid shape of this carried, that allows it to be shoved into the space under the seat but still protects your pet/utilizes every bit of space to give your pet some room. I recommend taking your pet out of the carrier if possible when you adjust the carrier under the front seat, and then introducing them in once its mostly set up. ... show more

This carrier was easy to assemble and fold down, so when you don’t need to use it storing it is a breeze! It’s got plenty of vents for your pet to have good airflow, and it’s very sturdy for travel! I will say it’s a little big for air travel, it’s really not able to fit under the airplane seat and I had first class seats. The padding is comfortable enough for short trips but it’s not the sturdiest. The flaps on the side are meant to be velcroed to stay rolled up to the top if you want it to, but mine always came undone, so they’re not the best at staying in place. I absolutely love these cat carriers, for 1, they are very spacious. I currently have 2 maine coons which are pretty large and they fit perfectly in these. I also have an easier time putting my cats in these because of how the carrier keeps its boxy shape. The bottom also has a stiff padding at the bottom which is both soft enough for the cats, but strong enough for the bottom to maintain its shape. ... show more
