It works well. Once my small dog got used to it, she loved it. She uses it to get in my chair for cuddles all the time. She has a little arthritis in her hind quarters so it is much more comfortable for her than trying to jump up or for me to lift her. The only reason I gave it a four star is because it is a little flimsy. Basically, it is three boxes covered in material and connected with velcro. the velcro works fine until you have to move it, then the pieces come apart. Am concerned how long it will last since she uses it so much. Only time will tell and I've only had it for about a month.

This is great for my terrier-gremlin mix & chug mix dogs that shouldn't be jumping on & off the bed! The best part is that the steps are also storage containers for toys, blankets, etc. This took very little time for my elderly dog to figure out how to use rather than break a hip.

I got this for my 17 year old Chihuahua mix. He's always been an electric little monster with no off switch, but old age is finally slowing him down. I needed foldable steps because of the size of my living room and furniture. They're steady too, as I also have two 60+ pounds of pound rescues that believe these were really meant for them. They ALL use them daily, and I have stepped on the bottom step briefly to prove to the little monster that they are safe. I am 170 pounds, so I'm pretty pleased. I read the pros and cons, and IF the tops on these break, I'm confident I can fix them. I'll use them until they're trashed or if the monster finally kicks the bucket. However, his inherent Napoleon complex and seer rage at the world will probably keep him alive forever. I recommend these stairs, so if you need them, try them.

The lids of the stairs detach, so when you get them just wedge something in between to pry the two pieces apart and add super glue before hammering them back together. Otherwise, they’re very sturdy and I didn’t worry about my 30lb dog using them. Cleaning isn’t the easiest, but it’s pretty good for fabric. My dog loved these (she sadly passed), and the storage was really helpful. It holds an 8qt rectangular dog food dispenser with some room around it in the tallest step, and has more storage for toys/wet food/medicine etc. in the other two steps. My dog didn’t mess with trying to get into them, but she absolutely could if she wanted to so just keep that in mind.

I read the reviews and debated but finally decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. We have two chihuahuas, around 9 lbs. maximum weight each. I worked from home in another city for two months this year and needed a way for my pups to get on and off the couch or chair without jumping. It needed to be portable enough to transport in a car. While the folded-up size is a little bigger than I had hoped, I think it needs to be to provide the structural stability to hold up as stairs. When I had secured the lid correctly (important - you might wiggle it to double-check), it was very secure. The stairs never caved in and they were heavy enough to not move when used on a wood floor. They look and feel nice, too. One of our dogs decided to sometimes sleep on one of the steps. When we got home from the trip I decided to swap out the expensive ramp we had purchased. I think the dogs like the steps better and they take up less room. This was a great purchase!

The stairs were a necessity to say the least. I adopted a little Chihuahua that was a rescue weighing 5 lbs & there was no way for her to get on my bed unless I picked her up. I found these, of course, at Amazon & turned out they are well built & extremely sturdy & problem was solved. Took my little girl just a couple of try’s but being so “smart” she conquered getting on my bed to toss all the pillows off on the floor😂 Great company & good craftsman ship. 👍👍👍
