We needed to get blinds for 2 windows and the size made it difficult to order "stock" zebra type blinds. I went a head and put in the information requested to do a custom order. Persilux did a fabulous job! the blinds fit perfectly and are very well crafted. In this case, you may need to wait a little, but so worth the wait! I purchased 3 of the Zebra shades with some trepidation. I live in an old house, so the windows are wonky and the measurements will never be perfect unless I had (expensive) custom shades created. After reading the reviews online, I went forward with the order, which I received two days later. I will say that I had a contractor do the installation. I do not have a drill and I wanted to be able to stand back and view that everything was straight in terms of placement without putting holes all over the window frame. It took the contractor 5 minutes to install each shade. The mounting mechanism could be placed inside or outside the window and the shade "clicked" into the mechanism. I will state the contractor swapped out the screws included for longer and stronger screws. The shades are excellent at diffusing the sunlight. I cannot speak to the privacy aspects because the room has not yet been used overnight. I am very pleased with these shades and I think anyone purchasing them would be equally pleased at the quality of the fabric, the construction of the shades (heavy duty plastic) and the ease of installation. My only niggling doubt is how the shade is viewed from the outside. Specifically, I live in a 100+ year old brick house and the shade is not in keeping with the architecture (nothing special, not a Georgian house). I feel a scalloped shade with edging and the hanging tassel for raising and lowering would be a better "fit". That said, I did require shades that offer privacy for first floor windows that can be easily viewed from the sidewalk. So, from the perspective of diffusing light while offering privacy during the daytime, the product works and the pricing is fantastic compared to a home improvement store. Always had traditional blinds or plantation shutters. This time looking for something new and wasn’t too sure when I ordered. The price was low enough to take a chance and hope I didn’t get some cheap thing that wouldn’t look good or fall apart. I’m glad I did take a chance. These blinds arrived in about 10 days and were well packed. First thing I did was to check the size. Turns out they cut them perfectly and the fit couldn’t be better. Next was install. Pretty easy instructions but I hit a snag, as there is a steel lintel above my window. Well just use a HSS drill bits, make a pilot hole and take your time. Drill out to 1/4 then use the included hardware. It’s now installed and very solid. I love the way it works and how it looks, makes my office look fresh and modern. Going to put these in some of the other rooms too! The only thing I don’t like is that the brackets show above the blinds and it creates a gap above. To finish this install properly I’ll just cut down some trim, paint to match and tack on above the blinds then it will look perfect. I’m very happy with this purchase. Just measure carefully and double check you entered the right measurements in your order because exactly what you order is what they’re going to send you! ... show more

The blinds are super easy to install. They provide all the screws and dry wall anchors you will need. All you need is a drill for installation. The best part of installation is not needing to measure the spacing for the brackets as they can mount anywhere on the blinds. I love these zebra blinds! Got them in gray. They look lovely on my window and I love how they are light filtering, but does a great job of blocking out light at the same time. Very easy to set up and install...just make sure your measurements are exact and precise. You will have zero issues.
