It was a bit difficult to attach to my bedroom wall, because the studs are 24" apart, not the required 16", that an outside wall would have. My 91 year old Papa set it up. Make sure you get at least one of the center holes in a stud. While the anchors they provide are a good size (uses the same lag bolts), after getting one in, it started spinning when I had it about half way tight. I followed the suggested mounting steps by removing the bracket that attaches to the TV (there are two small pieces that attach to the bottom holes that require some adjustments) I recommend doing so. There is no room to get those pieces on once it's mounted. I have had this TV on a different mount and was able to do so by myself, but this one is a bit tricky. I used a drop of epoxy to hold the plastic washers in place, so they don't fall every time you touch the mount. But once you get the bolts in, it has pretty good range of motion.

I'm not a mount newbie. I have had many different set ups over the years. Most of them are pretty basic. You find your position where you want it on the wall and you might be able to tilt it a little bit, but that's about it. I've had a small one that was as flexible as this for a computer monitor but even that wasn't quite as versatile as this one. It can be flat against the wall or pulled out quite a distance. You can pull it more to one side or the other. Angle it side to side. Also a small amount of tilt is available. My favorite is the fact that you can pull it out to work with all the plugs that are always in hard to reach places on the back side. They are no longer hard to reach. No more fighting with my sister over sitting in the chair that was in the better position as now I just move the tv to be centered and angled right for both of us. So easy to mount. All of those old holes in the wall are from the myriad of other mounts that have been used. It's due to have the walls redone, they are after all 100 years old, but it's such a huge task ripping out lathe and plaster. Took me forever to get the old mount off the wall as the bolts had been stripped but then it took all of five minutes to put the four bolts into this one and hang the tv.

I ordered this Perlegear TV wall mount for my husband's man cave which he installed within an afternoon. He told me that there was a lot of included hardware for any TV configuration with lots of mounting bolts with various spacer assemblies to configure the back of the TV to the mounting brackets. The mounting template made locating the holes very easy and they provide a 2" level but he suggests finding a larger one to ensure that everything is mounted properly. There were several types of fasteners included for wood stud or concrete installation. They do not recommend mounting into drywall although it can be done with special provisions. The assembly process was very straightforward with the instructions. The mount appears to be well made and sturdy. One tip he wants to share is to not worry too much about leveling the TV. One's inclination is to level and lock the bracket when it's on the work table. Then, when it's finally mounted, it may appear crooked. He recommends to leave the swivel mounting brackets screws snug but loose enough so that one could manually level and pivot the TV. There's a tilt mechanism that works fine but the pivot is better to keep a little loose and adjust by hand. This worked well for him because he doesn't intend to extend or swivel the screen much. He bought this just so he could access the back of the television easily and get it off of his table. Overall, he's pretty happy with the TV on his new wall bracket.
