We bought this pad as a present for my parents. They loved it so much, we got one for ourselves too. We love it! It hugs and supports while you sleep and, in the morning, no more aches and pains. It sounds too good to be true, but it really is amazing. There was no chemically smell - at all - so that's good too. Only two small issues: (1) the pad cover is kind of satiny, so the fitted sheet doesn't want to stay in place, but I can overlook that; and (2) since it's 3 inches thick, moving around requires some effort, (kind of like maneuvering out of a waterbed). But again, not a big deal.

Our old mattress topper was a champ, lasting at least 10 years. Alas, all good things must come to an end. I did a fair amount of research on Amazon and settled on the PERLECARE 3 Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper, king size edition. It was less expensive than the old one, not even accounting for inflation, and really does the job. I use it on top of our 20 year old Sleep Number bed which, while comfortable, did not have enough padding to separate our bodies from the vinyl air mattress embedded within. I needed something that breathed, which was hard to find back then. Well, this topper breathes, or at least does not cause me to sweat. Also, this comes with a cloth cover already installed, and it is very nice. Both my wife and my first impression when we lay on it was, 'oh boy, I hope this isn't going to be too firm.' Not so. We had just become accustomed to the wear on the old one. We have both enjoyed perfect nights of sleep, and there was never any odor from the topper. Well done Perlecare! P.S. - I don't usually write reviews and when I do it is because I feel duty-bound to warn people about something. This is perfect, at least to us.

Purchased this PERLECARE 3 Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper to try and soften up a mattress ser ta that was suppose to be a medium but was very firm. I'm in the top scale of the average sleeper, 235-245lbs. The new mattress felt like a 7.5 on a firmness scale and I wanted to get it to a 5.5 or 6. After alot of research, none of it specific or consistent, I first bought a very high rated topper from Amazon that was vari soft when it should have been a medium. Returned it an tried this PERLECARE, and so far am very happy with it. I would say however that the topper is on the firm side of medium, I would say 6-7 (to me 6.75) for my size. Firmness is generally relative to sleeper size and weight and I wish more reviews would list that information for comparison, medium for 165lb person may be a plush for a 230lb person. Even though the topper is just a bit on the firmer side for me, and I wish it was just a bit softer, it is still really comfortable. It states that the density is only around 1.8lbs and I was very concerned about that, but it seemed to more solid and supportive than the high density 3.8lb topper I returned. (I sunk right through that one]. The PERLECARE seems to be made very well, no loose fabric-bumps or sinks and the cover and material fit the topper well. It does look good if that matters. The straps, so far seem to be of good quality, the adjustment buckle slides easily and the placement of the straps seem to fit well with good spacing around the corners of the mattress. The topper does very good at staying in place and not moving while sleeping. I am one of those that move a lot during the night so that impressed me. Though you will have sheeting over it, the cover feels very nice, soft with no crazing stitching. Also after about the 4th day after opening, the topper filled out very well. Nice and even the entire width and length of the topper, no dips-bumps-or curls. Also bought a quean and the edges of the topper align almost perfectly with the quean mattress edges. All in all, very happy. Time will tell.

FINALLY I've found something that actually works. I bought a 2,000 dollar mattress that is way too hard. Tried two other toppers. And both we're horrible. Saw the reviews on this one, and decided why not. I'm so happy that, l did my hips and back don't hurt anymore!!! Yayyy it's soft yet supportive.

It is very well packaged, and there is no odor upon opening the mattress. The cover has a zipper that goes all the way around and it’s very easy to get on and off. I wish the zipper pole was a little larger because I had to attach a paperclip to it just to make it easier to pull it around the entire foam mattress. The stabilizing straps are excellent and I have actually never seen that on a foam mattress. I have washed the cover, and it washed and dried perfectly went back on without any problems.

So far so good. Was looking to add a mattress topper for a guest bedroom. The mattress itself was brand new, supposed to be plush but because the bed is hardly used, the mattress doesnt feel very plushy. Ordered this mattress topper in Queen after reading positive reviews. I'm so glad I did. Firstly, the seller had the topper discounted which initially enticed me to go ahead and order. They accept returns (another bonus). What I really like about the topper after receiving it, is the fact that it does come already packaged in its own cotton cover. It has 4 straps at each corner to keep the topper secured with the mattress and best of all, it did not off gas any chemical or offensive odors. It's a solid topper which comfortably cradles the body when lying on it and springs back to its original shape when not. Super happy with the quality and functionality. Will be ordering a King size for my own mattress.
