I have a similar topper on another bed - different brand. I always read the negative reviews on an item to see what was so terrible about a product and I've experienced none of them so far. There was absolutely no odor immediately upon opening the topper. Someone had commented about it tearing, another that it was sliding around. I don't know about other people, but I put my topper directly on top of the mattress and then placed a waterproof mattress cover on top. I'm thinking that may help it from sliding and keep it contained to avoid tearing. The topper on my other bed looks exactly the same. I've had it over a year and it's never torn. I purchased a queen size and the fit is perfect. Haven't slept on it yet, but I will update my review if there's anything negative to say. Just sitting on the bed feels really comfy. ... show more

This topper is very plush, not firm at all. 3" may be a little too excessive, you sink in and It's hard to move around. Would have been just fine with 1 or 2 inch topper. Overall good product, expanded to full size in less than 12 hours.

I was expecting this to be on the softer side as the one I had prior was nice and soft. This is quite a firm mattress topper. It is not as comfortable as the softer one I had but I do tend to wake up with less pain. I do not feel the "cooling" at all rather I get very hot on this mattress.
