  • Vintage Charm Meets Hummingbird Haven
The Perky-Pet 8107-1SR Antique Glass Bottle Hummingbird Feeder is a delightful addition to my garden. Its vintage design adds a touch of charm while providing a haven for hummingbirds. One of the standout features of this feeder is its antique glass bottle, which not only looks beautiful but also holds a generous amount of nectar, reducing the frequency of refills. The red accents on the feeder attract hummingbirds, making it easy for them to spot and enjoy their favorite treat. Setting up the feeder was straightforward, and I appreciated the sturdy metal hanger that securely holds the feeder in place. The wide mouth of the bottle makes refilling and cleaning a breeze, ensuring the nectar stays fresh for the hummingbirds. I've observed an increase in hummingbird visits since I started using this feeder. It's a joy to watch these tiny birds flit around and indulge in the nectar. The feeder's design also makes it easy to monitor the nectar levels, so I can refill it promptly to keep the hummingbirds coming back. The durability of the materials used is evident, as the feeder has held up well even during windy days and occasional rain showers. It's a reliable and attractive addition to my garden that brings me and the hummingbirds endless joy. If you're looking for a functional and aesthetically pleasing hummingbird feeder, I highly recommend the Perky-Pet 8107-1SR Antique Glass Bottle Hummingbird Feeder. ... show more

  • Affordable Sturdy Antique 1/2 Brass Bottom Hummingbird Feeder
This is an affordable glass feeder for Hummingbirds that is easy to clean, fill and guaranteed to bring these little treasured jeweled visitors in your garden a tasty treat, but for you and your family years of enjoyment watching them suspended in midair as those tiny wings are in a blurr beating frantically as they effortlessly sip homemade sugar water (I have never bought premade mixes & prefer to make fresh homemade sugar water & replace every 3 days during the hot summer months, it's safer, healthier & they go bonkers over it along with my variety of garden flowers). I also bought on Amazon this easy to use brush set https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00004ZB4K/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to clean down in the center of each decorative flower. These flowers as I know from past cheaper plastic feeders really don't serve much of a purpose other that to "dress up" the feeder. All the Hummy really cares about is if there is a hole to get the nectar out. They really don't care much about color either. They go by "smell/scent/scences". But if you've put out a Hummingbird Feeder for several years, you can put out any color feeder, yellow, orange, purple, pink, green: as long as it has sugar water and/or any type of flowers in/or around to attract them that appeals to them they will come to you in droves! When 1 or 2 start to visit your feeder, eventually it's like the grapevine of the Hummingbird world gets out & eventually you'll have several fighting over it. Over time you'll find yourself needing to add another feeder to your yard. Then another as more Hummers flock to your yard. I keep mine up until they have all migrated Southwest for the winter. Don't worry about the crazy notion that you have to put it up sooner or you'd keep them from migrating. That's nonsense. What will happen if you do that is you have some hummers depending on you for suplementation & they are injured & can't travel too far to another feeder that is still up, they may starve & die if they are dependent on you. Not to say that they are overly dependant. But if they are camping out in your yard due to an injury because they cannot travel to far & using your feeder as nourishment to get ready to migrate & you still see them visit your feeder and/or you see your feeder levels steadily go down, do NOT remove it yet! Keep replenishing it as normal as long as possible! I use a normal bottle brush to clean. I do NOT use any soap of any sort as its "impossible " to get any & all soap residue out completely & soap is toxic to these lovely creatures! I use HOT water & if there is any dirt at all I use extra coarse salt & scrub 1st, then rinse extra well with hot water. Repeat as needed. The salt sterilized but isn't toxic. But make sure you rinse, rinse, rinse. And because I clean really good every 3 days when I refill with fresh food, I don't have many problems. With glass, it's easy to clean. Plastic is a little harder. NEVER leave a feeder, especially glass ones, outside during the winter. Take them apart completely & gently clean & sanitize like you normally do. Let all parts air dry before you reassemble. Try to repackage in original box it came in, if possible & include any care instructions or any other documentation that came with it if you saved it. If you didnt save originsl box (these came in bubble wrap to me) carefully package in a different box & wrap up in bubble wrap inside & securely tape box up. Label clearly outside the contents & put away until the next season. ... show more

  • Hummingbird approved.
We have a rather large patio covered in pavers and part of it is under a pergola with a clear top. To our left is a bed with purple Salvia that the humming birds flock to. I placed these two I bought on the other two sides so we are now surrounded by hummingbirds. These feeders look great, look way more expensive than they really are. Good quality. The food does not need to be red, the hummingbirds can smell the food. It also comes in green but we liked the bronze. These are easy to take apart and clean. Once clean, I fill the bottle, screw the base back on and flip over quickly. Easy operation. One hint: To protect the finish from our southern sun, I sprayed 2 coats of Rust-oleum clear coat with UV protector. ... show more

  • cute / minimal plastic parts / value for dollar
I like the sturdiness of the hanger and the appearance of the bottle. The flower parts for attracting birds was a bit dim; I painted mine with red nail polish and waited a day. The bottle will clean easily with 1/8 cup of rice and 1,4 cup water and a good shaking or in the dishwasher with a good rinse and wipe after for detergent residue removal. I made nectar with 1/4 c organic sugar, 1 c clean water, just enough hibiscus petals to tint - boil, steep, cool covered. Be sure to replace and clean every other day to avoid toxic mold growth. One thing to know. After filling the bottle full & screwing the bottom onto the top of the bottle (firmly to prevent leaks), when you invert (turn over) the feeder so the bottle fills the reservoir, the bottle will be just more than 1/2 full at hanging. You will never have a full bottle - so if that matters to you, there you go. ... show more

  • Love
Great feeder! I mix sugar and water to avoid the dyes so the liquid inside is clear, so on its own I don’t think it really attracts the birds but I have it next to one with a red bottle and the birds are all over both. Cute feeder

  • Beautiful
Beautiful, hummingbird feature that has a gorgeous vintage look to it, only downside was this was a little bit smaller than I expected, but that’s my own air for not measuring before I ordered, overall quality feels really great, and I love the vintage look

  • It worked for me.
The humming birds do visit this one. Its perfect in every way, appearance and holds around 12 oz of water. With the high humidity and temperatures I change the water every other day. Due to its clear glass its easy to tell when the water needs to be changed, it gets foggy.
