It’s been over a month since it delivered. Only a minor rub on a side from the truck, but was in perfect shape. I’m 5’10”, 210lb and this yak doesn’t seem to notice I’m aboard. I’ve fished standing and get more confident each time. Late August was 100+ degrees out, I sat sideways on the seat with my feet in the water and was like fishing off a dock. Nice and wide platform. I'm 6'2" 300lbs. Holds me no problem. It does move slower than your standard kayak, but if you're not out for speed, this is for you.

This is the best fishing kayak I have ever owned. It is rock-solid while standing and the seat is exceptionally comfortable. It tracks very well, although it is not the fastest boat you will ever paddle. You will probably need a longer paddle due to the height of the seat to avoid a lot of bending to the side while paddling. The only negative I can see is that the cupholders should have been placed a few inches further aft to avoid paddle contact, but that is a very minor thing to me. Absolutely love this yak. Haven’t had it on the water just yet but the capabilities for mods is phenomenal. If you plan on using electronics be prepared for the need of a mounting block for your transducer. The transducer for my Hbird requires it and $50 for a 3”X4.5” piece of plastic is nuts. Easy hack is a 1/2” thick poly cutting board cut to fit and drilled. You’ll need longer screws too. ... show more

The Perception Outlaw 11.5 is a good choice if your main objective is fishing. Definitely a good value for money when purchasing a floating fishing platform. Delivery is a major headache - the delivery date and time is just a rough indication of availability and actual delivery.

Very wide and sturdy fishing kayak. I can stand and fish. I'm 200 lbs and it doesn't tip easily. Seat is high and extremely comfortable for a long sit. Very pleased with it.

This is my very first kayak and I love it! Seen other people say it’s a little slow on the water but I didn’t really have that issue. Both in a slow flowing river and a lake I was able to keep up with a buddy in a smaller kayak. Very steady and plenty of room! And the seat is very comfy.
