These are my go-to colored specialized pens. The milky gives a thicker opaque paint look. The pop gives a dimensional look. The pastel is the lighter pale soft colors. Any paper color such as white, black, kraft or other colors will look great with these pens. Let me begin by saying I am not a huge fan of non-glitter gel pens due to the end result not looking evenly coated once dry, resulting in it looking like a child colored it. I had bought the Pentel Milky Pop gel pens with one goal in mind - to get even coverage. I barely had to touch the page to get the outline set, and then came the true test. Coloring the inside and having it dry evenly. (*The blue in the photo is not the blue from this pack*, it’s a reference for what I’m sure many of us experience with our non-sparkly gel pens). As you can see, the color is even and, against the black background, it definitely POPS! I will definitely be ordering more is these pens in the future! ... show more

I’m not sure I would go as far as saying these are pastel as much as they are neon color. The ink comes out in fluid form with ease and the colors are bright. Doesn’t blend well for coloring with them and looks streaky but then again using them for small details is great.

I got this pack of pens because a local store sells them individually, and they are really satisfying to write in my journal with. I’m a little disappointed that the orange pen arrived with the cap loose and the pen completely dry, though. I tried wetting the roller ball, warming it up, everything I saw recommended online, but only crust was coming out of the end. All of the other pens work, but the orange was a dud. They do run out pretty quickly. Looking in my journal, it looks like one pen can write for about 8 pages. I do really like the “milkiness” though, they’re almost like a paint pen. A few drawbacks and I’m a little disappointed that one of the pens came dry, but overall they are some pretty good pens. ... show more

These have become my new favorite gel pens for coloring after being a diehard Gelly Roll user for YEARS! I absolutely love how thickly the ink flows, the vibrant colors, and excellent coverage! I just wish the price were a bit more affordable! 10/10, will be buying again when current set runs out!
