Let me begin by saying I am not a huge fan of non-glitter gel pens due to the end result not looking evenly coated once dry, resulting in it looking like a child colored it. I had bought the Pentel Milky Pop gel pens with one goal in mind - to get even coverage. I barely had to touch the page to get the outline set, and then came the true test. Coloring the inside and having it dry evenly. (*The blue in the photo is not the blue from this pack*, it’s a reference for what I’m sure many of us experience with our non-sparkly gel pens). As you can see, the color is even and, against the black background, it definitely POPS! I will definitely be ordering more is these pens in the future! ... show more

I got these to use on black planner paper--overall I like them, but they don't always consistently flow well. When they do write, though, they look great on the paper!

Some colors work beautifully and some are not as great. Writing in bold works well. However it takes some time to learn the nuances of how the ink flows out to successfully color with them.

Loved the opaqueness of these pens, the ones that did work flow nice, and look fantastic on black paper. They are the same slimness as the regular Pentel pens. The only thing that I was disappointed with is that 3 of them wouldn’t work… they were dried up, and no matter what I tried they wouldn’t flow. I’m not sure I would go as far as saying these are pastel as much as they are neon color. The ink comes out in fluid form with ease and the colors are bright. Doesn’t blend well for coloring with them and looks streaky but then again using them for small details is great.
