The plunger & clip are color coded so there's no guessing. There are four "Dark Ink" colors- Black, Dark Blue, Violet & Green. There are four "Bright Ink" colors- Red, Cyan, Hot Pink & Orange. Love! Colors are beautiful and deep. Comfortable to write with and grip is nice. Doesn't smear, fast drying. Fun to use because of the way they write and colored ink. I have purchased 4 packs and are by far my favorite pens and I consider myself a pen snob.
