I have used these for 20 years with students. The quality is excellent. There are probably others that are equivalent and some day I may investigate. Hint: The room is cold where I store them, so I use a heating pad to warm the reds, reddish oranges, and reddish purples (anything reddish) in individual plastic containers. Lots of colors, surprisingly creamy for the price. A great budget set for learning, and for base layers so you can save your softer or artist quality for the top layers. I use mine with the Paul Rubens and Mungyo sets. They do have a faint gasoline smell, so I aired them out overnight. It didn't really bother me and they seem clean.
