Penn torque lever drag 2-speed is made in the USA and features an open top design with a machined and anodized aluminum body and side plates, along with a lightweight forged aluminum spool. Quick shift 2-speed system easily shifts into high or low gear. Engineered to provide long lasting Penn durability, the dura-drag system virtually eliminates hesitation, even under extreme drag settings.

This is one of those tiny reels made to produce a strong drag in a small light package to take advantage of the thinner diameter spectra lines and much lighter/stronger carbon matrix custom rods. What is exceptional about it besides size and weight is the simple engineering of high quality durable components inside the reel. Who wants to either send a reel back to the manufacturer for maintenance every year or spend 6 hours taking apart a Rube Goldberg 300 tiny part Japanese or Taiwanese contraption that will be discontinued next year! this Penn reel is made in U.S.A. and will have parts for more than 10 years if they ever wear out! beats the pants off any of the competitor reels and is easy to maintain yourself plus it will never wear out unless you catch say 100 marlin or giant yellowfin! ... show more
