To me the reel looks legit and sturdy, with a high drag setting and well made parts. The two problems I noticed off the bat were that the amount of line that it can fit and what actually goes on is different. It says it will fit 345 yards of 80 lbs braided line, and I got to maybe 275 before I felt like I was pushing my limits. Still more than enough but whatever. The other thing is the handle and the screw across from is are independent of one another, which is strange. Oh well we’ll see how my opinion changes when I hook into a monster with it. ... show more

Considering reels have skyrocketed in price, you simply cannot go wrong with this reel, the price is right the quality is good, the strong metal body and smooth drag is a plus! Bought this because I broke the stock reel that came with my 6’ ugly stik gx2. I purchased the 4000 and it feels so much better. It’s also not that heavy. Quality is really good and the size is perfect in my opinion. Balances well with my 6’ gx2
