Extremely impressed with this reel. The line counter's ability to switch between meters and feet is fantastic, and the menu is incredibly easy to navigate. If you've struggled with other electric reels in foreign languages, this is a breath of fresh air. It's also noticeably quieter than comparable Daiwa Tanacoms. The cordless lithium-ion battery is a huge advantage—no more being tethered to a power source or limited by cord length. Battery life is excellent—I only lost one bar during the entire spooling process (1,224 meters of 65 lb braid). The lockable drag for free spool is super smooth with plenty of adjustment range for different fishing situations. The digital line counter is accurate, and the auto-stop feature allows true hands-free retrieval (with manual override if needed). The brushless motor is powerful, handling heavy drag loads effortlessly with speeds suitable for everything from deep dropping to kite fishing. Winding power up to 40 lbs makes battling big fish much easier. Line capacity is impressive. I spooled mine with 65 lb Bahama Blue 8-strand braid and got 1,224 meters (4,016 feet/1,339 yards) on the spool (15 lbs of drag on the backing to halfway, then 10 lbs for the topshot). Drag capacity is excellent for serious offshore work. The kit includes reel, battery, and charger. I also picked up extra batteries and the power cable as backup options—highly recommend doing the same for extended trips. Only one thing left to do is add the wind-on leader!
