There isn’t much cut to say about this reel other than wow pretty impressed, it feels like a winch in your hand...really impressed it’s one of only two reels I own that is not a shimano, felt like trying something different and id stack this against my Ci4s anyday, cosmetics of this reel are excellent, exceptional value at this price point ... show more

Love the Conflicts. I have both the 1000 and 2000, have no doubt it will last forever, and if something breaks, I can easily fix it myself. No need to send it to the Service Center and no need to worry about parts availability. The Conflict has that solid feel that's devoid of play. Even my Vanfords have some play - I don't know why Shimano can't eliminate those tiny bearing gaps in the Vanford price range. Penn has some problems with consistency, but thankfully, the Conflicts I received were tight. Love the hard EVA handles - no bearing play, and they're large. I have no idea why other manufacturers make small handles. Large handles give you control. Get these before they bring out the new models. I'm not a fan of the new designs like the Clash II or Battle III - they look overwrought. But these Conflicts are perfect. They have that understated, elegant look. Just got it today...... fast delivery awesome reel with very nice thick 1 piece bail wire. Was a little sluggish at first but once u spin it afew times to break the greese in it is super smooth.
