Sometimes remanufactured ink arrives dry or does not print as dark as name brands. So far I have had none of these issues with this brand. As far as how long it lasts, I am not there yet! But, I've printed more than the regular (non-XL) cartridges and it's still going, so at the very least is worth that since this XL duo is cheaper than the name -brand standard. These cartridges work great in my Canon printer. They come with good documentation of what to expect and troubleshooting if necessary. Other non OEM cartridges I've tried leaked or weren't acknowledged by my printer. Just the way they were packaged gave me a good feeling about their quality.

Colors do not print properly. The cartridge is defective. I have been using several remanufactured 241XL cartridges on my Pixma MG3620 from other brands without issue. On this cartridge, I ran a check pattern and only the darker cyan, magenta, and yellow bars print and the light bars do not print at all. See attached photo for a print and check pattern from this cartridge compared to a functional remanufactured cartridge from another brand. I tried running the print head cleaning process and printing another check pattern but the result was the same. ... show more

Arrived in one day as advertised. Came well packed and protected. Came with printed installation instructions, troubleshooting information and an alcohol cleaning pad (which I did not need). I put them in an eight year printer that had never been used. I did not trust the original ink cartridges in the box. The Penguin Remanufactured Printer Ink Cartridges worked fine, no installation problems at all. The print quality is good. I cannot comment on the long term usability though because Amazon sends review requests before anyone has a chance to use the product?? ... show more

They seem to be and acceptable replacement for the manufacturer cartridges. They are way cheaper and so far I have printed Maybe 200 pages and everything works and looks great.

I've had mixed luck with these cartridges. When they work, they seem to work perfectly. I've had two of them fail right out of the box, something that has never happened to me with original Canon cartridges. They are warrantied, so I'm sure if you get a bad one, they will replace it for you, but when you're on a tight schedule and the brand new cartridge doesn't work, it's a real problem. I wish I could give a better review, but I've had 3 sets of these and 2 failures, which doesn't work for me. ... show more
