Wow these people know how to package for delivery and What a great way to update your bmw screen to a bigger size. I had the 8.8 and this 10.25 is a much needed improvement plus the CarPlay or android auto is a big bonus. I haven’t had a chance to use all the functions yet but have used CarPlay and it works flawless.installation is not that hard,the jumper that goes to rear of radio can be a pain to get just right and the cable on the old monitor is a pain to remove but take your time and pull firmly,it’ll pull out. Don’t forget to add the plastic trim to rear of display before install. A installation manual would be a big bonus but you can watch their videos online and they are easy to follow. If you are wanting CarPlay or android auto bigger screen then don’t hesitate on this unit. My install was in a 2016 435i f33 convertible.

Great upgrade for older Bmws makes the car feel modern again. Very good quality screen and harness was plug and play. Great product support, multiple videos online showing how to instal. Switching between oem screen is quick and easy by holding menu button down for 2 seconds. All factory buttons and wheel controls still work. Boots up super fast and functions very smooth with no delay. Wireless car play works great and is connected almost instantly after car is turned on. Cheaper than buying a OEM bmw screen and looks better too.

It's nice... But!!! My unit did not function correctly resulting in a return. For starters, the installation is fairly easy. However, the configuration is far more difficult than it needs to be. Spent a few days with support to figure out all the issues. The instructions lack a lot of detail for the configuration. It took 2 days to figure out why only music was being pushed out of just the right channel. Then I had to wait a few more days to figure out the back up camera not working. After 2 weeks, it started to work, except for the steering wheel controls. They provided me with 3 different software and firmware updates, which did not resolve the problem. I gave them 1 star for the inconvenience and non functioning components. I added 1 star because at least their support is responsive and helpful, as much as they can. Item was returned. If you want a hassle-free set up, this isn't it. If you're willing to work with their support via email, go for it. Keep in mind their support is in China and responses will take 12 hours or more to get. One more update. I took a chance and bought another thinking, maybe it was just THAT unit... but nope, the 2nd one I bought is the same way. Now removing a star for the inconvenience and it being a bad product over all. I still stand by my statement that the set up is far too involved and the tech support is good. The product itself is just bad!

Easy install, carplay and android auto work very well. I like how easy it is to switch from the original bmw screen to carplay by just holding the menu button. The only thing I don't necessarily like is the PEMP logo when you start the car, I wish it would've kept the original bmw startup screen. I didn't like the logo on the back of the product either. I put a sticker over it so people don't see PEMP on the back of my screen from the windshield. Those two reasons took off a star from my rating. But other than that, it's pretty damn good for the price. I would recommend it to anyone who wants carplay or android auto. Especially if you have that tiny calculator screen that comes in non specced f30s. Luckily mine came with the upgraded screen already, but since mine is pre lci I couldn't code in carplay. I like the product, makes driving a lot more safe being able to see my directions and change music with my screen. No more holding the phone and getting worried about being seen by police.
