We got this for our daughter to carry around her new puppy. While the backpack was a little bigger than we expected it, fits out 7lb puppy great. The frame inside saved our puppy from injury when my child tripped and landed on the bag with our girl inside. We were so grateful for the sturdy design. (I wouldn’t think it would protect an animal from an adult falling but a small child) Our 7lb dog loves it, and we’ll even find her cuddled up inside it taking a nap when we are relaxing around home. The shoulder straps are comfortable and fit well. I have an 11 pound Yorkie mix, who's 15 inches in length and she has more than enough room. The zippers make it easy for her to get in and out, and add to its functionality and sturdiness. The only perk I wish it had would be an adjustable chest strap for added stability. This is a great quality carrier so gave it four stars, but know that if your cat is feisty and hates being picked up or going in, it'll be IMPOSSIBLE to get them in this due to how the fabric shifts. We got our cat in through the side door, shut the door, and started to zip it up, but she wriggled out and ran away. Definitely a nice carrier, but not for us. ... show more
