UPDATE: This company did reach out to me and offered a full refund or replacement. I would keep in mind that their integrity seems to be intact. I would like to thank them for reaching out to me and for the quick replies back and forth. They did make things right, even though it wasn't asked for. From communications I am gathering they are trying to make the product stronger and better. This by no means would I consider this a carport, garage or storage unit. I own a smaller tarp shed similar to this by Shelter Logic. When I opened the boxes to this one from Peaktop, I was really disappointed in the pole size and thickness and the thickness or thinness of the tarp sheeting. I expected to get a heavy duty carport as listed on Amazon. The zippers for the doors are lightweight and not strong at all compared to the other one I have. The anchors were not big enough to carry any kind of load. This is by no means heavy duty. The only positive thing I can say about this product is that it was easy to assemble. But, after we got it up and all the sides/doors put on, I was once again disappointed by the openings to where wind could get through, even though covered with leg coverings. The worst kicker was, that within 12 hours, this thing pulled up anchors, sandbags and all, went over a 9 foot fence and wrapped itself in my neighbors tree completely mangled plus torn in many places less than 12 hours after it was put up. The wind wasn't even that strong and it was closed up. There was no salvaging it. It was so badly mangled it had to be cut apart because the poles were bend at the connections and everywhere else. The tent covering grommets just ripped out of it everywhere, so it because 100% useless as well. I have not contacted the company for a replacement because I don't want a replacement, I basically threw $500 plus shipping out the door buying this thing plus all our wasted time putting it up. For what it is, and how it's advertised it's not a good product. My gut should have went with a Shelter Logic because I already have one and know that it's in its fourth year and still running, plus for this size shelter, it's half the cost at Menards. My Shelter Logic has been through some of the worst storms ever in Southwest Missouri and hasn't moved an inch. This Peaktop was put up in Central Missouri where the wind isn't as bad an I am so unhappy with this product because I completely wasted my money on it - stinks to be me as I could have used that money on other things. It two of us extremely mechanical uninclined men about three hours to get everything assembled. The only two issues we had with assembly were that one of the joints arrived a little dented, so it wouldn't slip onto the pole without a little tough love from a hammer. The other is that the first picture in the instructions is oriented at a 90 degree angle from the remaining steps. Fortunately, I read ahead and figured that out before we had laid out all the parts. Otherwise, we would have had to start from scratch to get it correct. No tools were particularly necessary at all, though we did use a hammer for the aforementioned dented joint, and then again as torque to help turn the spiral stakes into the ground. You will want to have a small ladder around for securing the fabric at the top. We wouldn't have been able to do that from standing on the ground. I staked the feet of the poles, tied down the corners with the rope, and weighted the bottom sides down with approximately 500 pounds of sand (the included sand bags are small, and would most certainly not keep this thing earthbound during a substantial wind.) It looks better than I expected it would, and the materials seems to be solid. I could see this being used as a covered seating area for an event as well as its main purpose of parking your car. Now we wait for Texas storm season to see if it can withstand the angry god of the old testament when he sees fit to smite Texas with melon sized hail. ... show more

It took 3 of us about 4 hours to set it up. Not very sturdy. I also received 2 doors, which is fine, but not what I expected. One of the side walls didn't line up correctly either so there are large gaps. It will do its job, just not as good as I had hoped

Some parts where slightly dented but easy fix. One of the side carport top side attachments where sewed on backwards. Where it attaches top to poles. ... show more

this is our 2nd full winter using this tent for storage of our " special " vehicle. We live in Minnesota where the winters are tough and these last 2 winters Mother Nature has outdid herself with the severe winds and huge amts of heavy snows .( we set records both years!!!). Each spring when we have opened it up there has been no leakage, no snow has blown in and this spring we have had some earlier warmer spring temperatures causing earlier snow melt with puddling of snow melt on the roof and even tho the canvas stretched downward , it did not rip or leak. Last year's winter had such hi winds- that we were concerned that it would still be in place and not in the next county when the winds died down- but it never moved or ripped. When we first got it - my husband was so impressed as everything was marked for placement and it went up and down like a dream!!! My husband says "Best $400 dollars he has ever spent"!!! this is an amazing product Deb and Dave Costello Blaine Mn ... show more
