  • Great low cost golf rangefinder
Color: LE600AG(Slope)
I ordered this as a deal on Prime Day and received today, so these are initial impressions. I have wanted a rangefinder but could never justify the high cost. With sprinkler head markers and GPS, it is not totally necessary. What is nice with a rangefinder is knowing the distance to or over a hazard. At the low price of this item, I decided to take a chance. I am glad I did. I live on a golf course, so I shot a couple flags and other objects from my yard. I got the yardages quickly and the results were repeatable. That is all I ask. This rangefinder has "flag acquisition" technology and that should not be confused with "pin seeker" technology. This one locks on a flag or any object that you sight and press the acquisition button. It could have been called boulder acquisition technology. Pin seeker requires reflectors on the flagstick to work and all courses do not have them. This rangefinder does not have a scan mode and it only locks on a point. Also not a problem as a point is what I am looking for instead of trying to follow a continually changing display. The slope feature is a nice added feature at this low price. All in all, it is quick and easy to use and all most people will ever need. It does not give you every feature, just the ones you need. I drove around a few holes on the course and the flags I shot corresponded quite well with the distances on the score card. Slope added or subtracted a few yards as it should. I will update if I find any problems with on course use. Update. Three years in and still working perfectly. Had to replace the battery early this year, so 2-3 years battery life. ... show more

  • Good rangefinder for the money
Color: LE600AG(Slope)
I've used this Peakpulse 6Pro Slope Golf Rangefinder to play two rounds and compared it along with a name brand premium rangefinder that is about 4 years old, but without slope. As for accuracy, there was a difference of one yard between the two readings. Which one was more correct? I don't know for sure, but who really cares? Most of us have trouble controlling our lag putts to one yard let alone our iron and wood shots to that kind of accuracy. What's important is that the accuracy matched up with a major brand. The optics of the name brand were a touch crisper, but the name brand is known for the optics across many different devices. I definitely didn't have any issues with the Peakpulse 6Pro locating flags with trees in the background or using the rangefinder in the twilight hours. The device is a little light compared to the premium one, but that's probably due to the difference in materials used and another reason why this rangefinder can be offered for the price compared to premium brands. I also felt the premium brand locked on a little quicker, but without the side by side comparison, I wouldn't have noticed a significant difference. Will it hold up for four years like my other one? Only time will tell, but I would not have any issues recommending this product to family. I'm giving the overall product four stars only because I feel like the product is priced perfectly for what you get - a budget rangefinder with good accuracy and less expensive construction. I typically give products five stars when I feel like a product outperforms it's price. ... show more

  • Very Impressive
Color: LE600AG(Slope)
I lost a Bushnell rangefinder that cost over $300 and bought this in my second attempt to find a decent lower cost device. I was blown away by the performance - way better than my old Bushnell. My first attempt was a $100 laser and it performed so poorly I returned it within two days and ordered the Peakpulse. I was fully expecting I would have to return it and opt for the Bushnell or better. It only took one trip to the course to realize this was a great find. It's fast, easy to use and accurate. The slope function works fine, but can be easily switched off for tournament play. The acquisition of the flag and haptic feedback worked perfectly - I highly recommend this laser. I haven't had it long enough to speak to the battery life. ... show more

  • perfect range finder for your kids to lose
Color: LE600AG(Slope)
When my oldest kid first started golfing, he had an issue with losing rangefinders including one nice one. Fortunately this model was available when my next two kids started golfing two years ago. Here I am three years later getting a replacement, but it's now half the price. This rangefinder does the job. If it appears that it's not reading correctly, it's probably because it was switched to read in meters by accident. ... show more

  • Easy to use, accurate, and inexpensive!
Color: LE600AG(Slope)
I've see golf rangefinders at several times the cost of this unit, but what more could they offer? I found it easy to use out of the box, with a minute or two with the short instructions. It's accurate for objects whose distances I already know. The scope is surprisingly powerful, and it seems to home in on the flag, and not get confused with more distant objects. I bought this as a Christmas gift for a friend, and liked it so much I got one for myself! They really do put these on holiday sales, I ended up paying ten dollars more post-holidays. ... show more

  • Product does not work
Color: LE600AG(Slope)
This product totally failed to perform its basic function. If you are reading this, you know the function is to measure the distance from a golfer to the pin. It is expected that one instrument may vary by a yard or two from another, but measurements with this device were consistently at least fifty yards off. Obviously, the device was non-functional. (Note that I gave honest answers on the stars above. The product seems to be nicely made, and the optics are quite good. The electronics were obviously defective.) But now the real fun started. Following the instruction manual, I emailed the indicated address for return or repair. After two attempts, I got no reply. So I went to the vendor website, emailed the help address there, and again got no reply whatsoever. So, in summary: Product does not work, vendor does not respond. This is by a long measure the worst product I have ever gotten from Amazon, and it was not inexpensive. I suspect that the company makes many functional products, but this one was not, and it is inexcusable that the vendor will not reply to a customer. This vendor either needs to change their policies or be removed from Amazon. This is not what I expect from Amazon. I go out of my way to use Amazon because they are generally so reliable. ... show more

  • Great value and performance, PEAKPULSE 6 Pro Golf Laser Rangefinder
Color: LE600AG(Slope)
I have used the PEAKPULSE 6 Pro Golf Laser Rangefinder for 12 rounds. My playing partners use expensive rangefinders (Nikon, Leupold, etc.), allowing me to compare the PEAKPULSE with high-end devices. The PEAKPULSE 6 Pro Golf Laser Rangefinder is right-on in distance comparisons with very expensive rangefinders. I really like the vibration feature that indicates when the device has returned a range to a target. The slope feature also matches much more expensive rangefinders. The only downside of the PEAKPULSE 6 Pro Golf Laser Rangefinder is lacking a gyro/stabilization feature. It is challenging holding the rangefinder steady, but I do consistently get accurate readings. If you want to have a rangefinder that is very easy to use, is very accurate, has a very clear 6x viewfinder, and saves you $300 over comparable models -- purchase the PEAKPULSE 6 Pro Golf Laser Rangefinder. You cannot go wrong. Pros: Very clear 6x viewfinder Very accurate distance readings, especially on the flag Simple operation (easy to use) Vibration feature (device returns a vibration when target is acquired). Inexpensive ($300 less than rangefinders providing comparable accuracy) Cons No gyro/stabilization feature ... show more
