I wasn't sure if I'd like this strap and its not inexpensive. But having used it now "in anger" in the field, yes I do and the two-sided nature of it (one tacky and the other slippery) on the shoulder is a game-changer. We'll see how the attachment eye cords hold up -- they appear to be made out of Spectra or similar Kevlar-type material and thus should have excellent abrasion resistance and replacements are available. Other than that you literally may never need another camera strap for a given body..... its that solid, adjustment is trivial and I can actually set it where its useful as both a "in front" and "sling-style" strap without having to futz with it, yet can shoot from either configuration immediately. I like it.

If you're reading this, you already know that Peak Design stuff is spendy. $70 seems excessive for a thin (albeit well-made) piece of cloth with some buckles and connectors. However, Peak Design products are undeniably high quality, and it's tough (if not impossible) to top their usefulness. The Slide is a great camera strap. I won't go over all the features, but I have found each one of them necessary and perfect for its job. The Anchor Link connection system is genius. The Slide carries my 7-pound bird photography rig (Sony a6700 with the 200-600mm lens) for two-hour handheld shoots, and I don't even notice the weight. The Anchor Links attach to the big lens perfectly, and the rig is remarkably balanced. I shift shoulders halfway through the session and don't have to adjust the strap at all. I've also owned the Slide Lite and the Peak Design hand grip, and they're both high-quality and useful, too. Since these items can last well beyond a decade of hard use, they're worth the significant investment.

I love Peak Designs. I had one of their sling straps, which is great, but for the weight of 500mm+ lenses I regularly use for Wildlife photography, it didn't distribute the weight well enough. This strap is fantastic and makes the camera and heavy lenses feel like they weigh almost nothing. The only regret - not getting this sooner!

First off, the build quality of this thing is absolutely top notch. Kudos to Peak Design. I usually wear a camera crossbody, on my right side. I got this to carry a monster telephoto that way, but attached to the lens, not the camera body. This product works. But, I am a big guy. And if you use the lugs on a big lens, it effectively shortens things a bit (brings the camera higher). I just wish this strap were a few inches longer...then I would sing its praises.
