  • Excellent product
Outstanding Performance! I have this in a small water lily pond and I added several small fish to help with controlling mosquito larvae. The fish kept dying because the pond did not have enough aeration. This unit works perfectly. It has two bubble heads and a splitter if you need both of them. Plenty of hose comes with it and it is self contained with a pump in the same unit as the solar panel. Works perfectly for small container ponds! ... show more

  • Great for small pond health
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this little bubbler for my tire pond that we installed last summer. The pond is a little small for a fountain (which sometimes sprays water outside the pond and over-waters the plants), but I needed something to keep the water's surface moving to prevent mosquitoes moving in and also to oxygenate the water because it got very stagnant last year with nothing in it. The bubbler has been in for a couple of weeks and it does seem to be keeping things a little cleaner in there. The motor itself emits a low hum, but depending on where you place it, you will never hear it-- it's very quiet and not at all disturbing. While it is easy to put together, I wish there had been another foot or two of tubing because if you want to use both stones, you have to cut pieces off the length of tubing in order to connect the stones to the t-connector. Depending on where you place the panel, this may be a problem. For me, it's kind of a hassle because the pond is in a semi-shady location with plants all around, so I have to place the panel about five feet away and I need all the tubing I can get to make sure it's in the right location. Mine came with six feet of tubing, not the 8.2 feet in the listing. Ideally, I would have liked at least another foot or two of tubing to connect the stones because, while the air flow is ok, it is very centrally located to where the stones are. I currently have them about 6 inches apart, and as you can see all the aeration happens in that small space directly above them. If I had them another foot or so apart, it would allow for a larger area of aeration. I'm aware that this is for fish, but I would have loved it if it had just a little more oomph. There are two modes on the device-- one light is blue and one is green. The blue mode is for a constant flow of air and bubbles, while the green pauses and then bubbles for a few seconds before turning off again. The green mode is easier on the battery, but watching the pond for a while, it seemed to scare the birds away when it turned on so I'm keeping it set to continuous bubbling for now. The battery charges right up and the bubbler works through the night. I assume I will need to replace the tubing at some point (and just buy more to place the stones further apart) and the stones will need cleaning, but this seems to be a pretty simple and durable little addition to my pond and its health. So far, I'm very happy with this! ... show more

  • Solar Aerator bubbler for ponds or stagnating water that needs moved
Solar Air Bubbler for fountains or ponds. Keeps the water aerated well. Has a on position or a pulse position. Or off of course. Can be assembled with single stone or dual for more bubbles. My fish love it. I have an outdoor pond 15 gallons. This is plenty.

  • A Disappointing Glimmer of Hope (Quickly Extinguished)!
I had such high hopes for the PChero Solar Pond Aerator, envisioning a pristine, oxygenated oasis for my small outdoor pond. Instead, I got a frustrating exercise in futility, punctuated by a disheartening lack of bubbles. First, "2W" and "2200mAh" sound impressive on paper, but this unit seems to be powered by a single, grumpy gnat. On anything less than direct, blazing midday sun, the pump is barely audible, let alone effective. As soon as a cloud so much as thinks about passing overhead, the promised bubbles dwindle to an asthmatic wheeze, then vanish entirely. The 2200mAh battery? It might as well be a decorative paperweight. It holds a charge for approximately two squirrel sneezes, meaning any aeration beyond peak daylight hours is a pipe dream. Forget about it running through the night, or even for an hour after sunset. The "2 Modes Bubbler" feature is a joke. It's more like "Barely There" and "Completely Gone." The two air stones feel cheap, and the tubing is flimsy. I've had better air output from a child blowing through a straw. My fish looks more agitated now than before, probably wondering why I bothered installing this expensive, glorified paperweight. Installation was straightforward enough, but that's about the only positive I can find. It's lightweight, which is great for carrying it back to the box for return. If you have a pond that exists only between 1 PM and 3 PM on clear, windless days, this might work for you. For anyone else expecting actual, consistent aeration for their aquatic life, save your money and invest in something that doesn't rely on the whims of a fickle sunbeam. This PChero aerator is a prime example of "you get what you pay for," and in this case, I feel like I paid too much for a lot of empty promises. ... show more

  • Simple but effective little air pump and solar combination
Everything about this seems to be working just fine - I'm using the "intermittent" function so its not running all the time and the solar is keeping up well even though the area has a fair amount of shade during the day. This model has the pump and batteries built into the solar panel unit - so the air hose connects to the the back of the panel and there are no other parts. This isn't a huge amount of air - its not for a large pond or fountain but it does put out enough for a smaller volume of water - depending on how much aeration you need. I feel like this does meet the expectations of the listing - its a smaller unit but well made and very easy to set up. It would be easy to add additional tubing if you need to locate the panel further away to get good sun - Nice little unit - ... show more
