Description

PC Concrete epoxy gel is an anchoring and concrete repair product. PC Concrete has exceptional strength, maximum field reliability, along with a high heat deflection temperature of 134 degree F, which provides engineers and contractors with a choice for specifying and setting adhesive anchors in elevated temperature environments. PC Concrete out performs all caulks and hydraulic cement. PC Concrete will not come loose from any cleaned concrete surface. PC Concrete the best solution for permanent concrete repair. PC Concrete is a two component 1:1 ratio, 100 percent solids, high modulus, and structural epoxy gel. It is a solvent free, no odor, high strength, moisture-insensitive epoxy. In addition, PC Concrete has a long working time 20 minutes at 75 degree F, while providing a bolt down/paint time in as little as 4 hours. PC-Concrete has been tested in accordance with the ICC-AC58 Acceptance criteria for adhesive anchors in concrete and masonry elements. PC- Concrete is recognized for the following uses: static loads, seismic / wind loading, long term creep at elevated temperatures, static loading at elevated temperatures, damp holes, freeze thaw conditions, critical and minimum edge and spacing distances. Used as adhesive for wood, metal all types, glass, brick, block, rubber, concrete, stone, slate, fiberglass, tile, and more in any and all combinations. Color component a: White. This is good stuff! I used it to repair a disintegrating front step. After it cured it was quite tough, and had a smooth, glossy grey texture (don't expect it to look like concrete).     • Tough to get out of the tube, but well worth the effort

We used this to patch a network of cracks in our concrete garage floor, and a crack in our house's foundation. We went through several tubes of this stuff. The tube contains one half adhesive and one half hardener -- the tube is not just half full as some people have complained. It is half-full of a gray substance and half of a white substance. As you squeeze the stuff through the special nozzle, it mixes to a uniform pale gray. Squeezing the stuff through this nozzle is no easy feat. However with the little determination and perhaps a pair of channel locks it can be done. We did this as a team. One person squeezed the channel locks. A second person guided the nozzle, which as you can see is an equal length to the caulk tube so it's a bit unwieldy when aiming at narrow cracks. A third person used a spackle knife to smooth out the epoxy and fill the cracks before the epoxy set up. The result is a network of pale gray lines cross the garage floor, but they are hard as a rock and the floor is as good as new structurally. We did the same thing with the foundation crack, but since it was vertical unlike the floor, getting it smoothed out and completely filling the seam was a bit trickier. We are very pleased with the results, especially since we really didn't clean the garage floor before exopying it. (okay, we didn't clean it at all--except to sweep away loose stuff.) This is just a fyi. This is a two part epoxy. That means there is a partition in the middle of the tube that extends halfway. In other words you will only get 9 ounces or about half of the tube out of this, not the whole tube. I was able to cement in 20 - 5/16 all thread rod into holes and refasten 6 bricks that had come loose on an old set of steps with two tubes. In other words I had just enough for what I bought them for but expected to have plenty left over. This is a pretty good product, a little pricy for the amount you get but the rods are stuck fast and the bricks are solid. One tip is, if you buy multiple tubes. Take off the applicator from the last tube once it's empty and put it on the new one as there is a lot of epoxy, maybe an ounce or more that is stuck in applicator. ... show more

    • A permanent fix to a cracked basement floor
Size: 8.6 oz Style: PC-Concrete
I had a 6 foot long crack along my finished basement floor. While the crack was mostly thin, there were a couple of spots along that crack that if I poured my latex floor primer, it would drain into the foundation indicating a spot for water to come out in the event the water table were to raise. I was hesitant that anything that comes out of a caulk tube would hold up the hydrostatic pressure it would need to combat over time. After grinding the crack wider and filling it with this epoxy I let it sit overnight and checked it the next morning. Sure enough, this epoxy hardens tougher than concrete and taking a thick scraper to it in a test spot I created made me very comfortable that this is a permanent fix solution. My only gripe is how hard it is to get out of the tube, and that you only get about half of a full amount of a regular caulking tube out of it. If you have more than a 12 foot pinky-width crack to fill, you will need to buy more tubes. Still giving this 5 stars because a dry basement is worth more than $20 and I would recommend it to anyone in my situation. ... show more

While this is very strong and probably works wonderfully on flat surfaces, it is very runny and does not do well on vertical surfaces. I spent 20 minutes having to keep pushing it back up the wall as it started to sag. Additionally, I tried to apply it to a slightly damp wall, and it is so hydrophobic, that it just slid off and wouldn't adhere. I don't think that any of it is still on the damp wall. ... show more

I used this product to anchor vertical rebar in a concrete footing to provide reinforcement for a stone wall. Epoxy is preferable to cement based products to avoid problems with expansion or contraction of the bonding material. This product was chosen for its relatively long cure time and because it can be used without a special gun. Many epoxies cure rapidly and/or require special tools. I wanted to be sure I would have plenty time to fill the holes and install the bars as desired. With regard to pull out strength, I can't comment on the actual performance in my application, of course, but it does cure as advertised and makes an apparently strong bond to the concrete and bar. If you believe the published product specifications, the product is suitable for many construction applications. If you require compliance with standards, note that as of August 2011 the product was NOT reevaluated for compliance with the Uniform Building Code, which was updated for earthquakes and broken concrete. Be sure to check the product Web-site for recommended hole depths and diameters for your application, and follow directions carefully to ensure relatively high pullout strengths. As suggested by the product description, it can be used in a number of applications other than anchoring bars in concrete. I also used this product to repair broken sections of terra cotta drainpipe where gutter down spouts met the pipe at grade level. I used duct tape to hold the pipe in place while the epoxy cured. The results were very good. The only drawback of this product as shipped is that it comes with two nozzles. Be sure to plan accordingly if you expect to be doing a number of small jobs. Nozzles for similar products may be available locally and might fit the cartridge. ... show more

    • Excellent Cement Epoxy.

Very well satisfied with the product Used it to fill some cracks in a basement floor. Most were small, about 1/8" deep by several feet long. The large one was about 4 inches long and 1/4 inch wide and ~1//8 inch deep . Sealed perfectly. The Epoxy hardens almost rock like in about 4 hours. A reasonably good dispenser gun works well a cheap, flimsy one maybe not. Have to squeeze the dispenser gun somewhat hard but excessive pressure is not required. The Epoxy is about 11/2 times as hard to pump out than RTV silicone. Covers well1/4 inch by 1/8 by,1/8 by 8 foot easily. Seems to work better if the crack is deep enough for the epoxy to fill, not just smeared on top of the crack. Best to smooth out the Epoxy with trowel or putty knife it into the crack, do so immediately because it hardens pretty fast. The Epoxy would be very hard to smooth out once it fully hardens. After about 20 or so minutes it really started to harden. ... show more
