  • Feels like hard plastic- Keep finding uses for it.
Size: 25 ml
I was replacing windshield wiper refills and one of the plastic covers cracked in a few pieces. Since it was just the cover part and the wiper still worked fine and i still have a bunch or blade refills i decided to try and fix the cracked cover. I bought this 2 part epoxy since its black in color and its outdoor use. It mixes up easy but it gets everywhere. I was wearing disposable gloves thankfully or my hands would have been covered. I was working with small broken pieces so just couldnt avoid not touching the epoxy. It sets up pretty fast. The mixed epoxy seems to start setting up right after mixing. It gets hot too. I only mixed a small amount each time to have longer to work with it. Seems to cure solid. Sticks to everything. I used a little too much and had trouble fitting the wiper back on the arm so had to sand some down. It sanded easily with a metal file. Hopefully it lasts along time and doesnt break down in the sun. I'll update if theres any issues with it. - Update: Found another use for this epoxy. Theres a small plastic bracket inside the bottom of my cars front bumper that was loose and rattling around. I finally got around to seeing what it was exactly. Looks like it had broken off, im guessing since the bottom of the bumper is so low to the ground I must have hit a curb. The bracket is normally held to the bumper cover with a rivet and since i dont own a rivet tool I figured i can install a nut and bolt instead. The problem is when the bracket is fit onto the inside if the bumper theres no way to reach around to put the nut on, probably why a rivet was used. I used this epoxy to install the nut on so it doesnt move. It ended up working great. I cleaned the plastic really well with rubbing alcohol then sanded it a little to roughen up the surface with a small metal file. I had to hold the nut with my finger while inserting the small bolt, mixed up a small amount of the epoxy then poured it all around the nut. Carefull not to get any epoxy on the bolt so I could unscrew it back out so I can then install it on the bumper. I let it cure for a few hours just to be sure. Was able to fix it for the cost of a nut and bolt. And I still have plenty of the epoxy left for other things. ... show more

  • Awesome, works on most plastics.
Size: 25 ml
I’ve been using this stuff for years for various repairs (forklift mechanic). I’ve verified first hand that it works for ABS, polypropylene, Delrin, nylon (specifically glass fiber reinforced, such as tool plastic), and PVC. Just remember that a little goes a long way. After about 10 minutes it’s more of a putty consistency which makes it easier to work with in more precise areas. I’d assume it cures at their advertised time, I always let it sit at least 16 hours before moving. ... show more

  • easy to use. dries quick. still holding!
Size: 25 ml
I bought this to repair a plastic shed door that got ripped out by the wind. I had to actually glue the hinge itself back on. It worked great. (stuck to my fingers a little bit!) It dries quickly. I didn't notice a smell, but I used it outside. It bonded great. Dried hard. EASY to use. The hinge is still working, the door still swinging and I didn't have to throw out a small $100 plastic shed. Definitely will use again. ... show more

  • Works well for most plastics.
Size: 25 ml
I have used Plastic Bonder on many projects over many years. When it works it is wonderful, when it does not it is typically easy to clean up and remove from the item so you can try a different solution. Pros: • Works on most plastics, and most materials I have tried to attach plastic to. Cons: • Doesn't always come out of the syringe in equal parts. This usually is only an issue with newer syringes but tapping the syringe several times seems to help release any air pockets inside that cause the issue. • Plastic Bonder is not compatible with Polypropylene (PP) or Polyethylene (PE) and their support recommends using MMA500 for Polypropylene. I have used Plastic Bonder with Polypropylene and it works for some fixes depending on the requirements. It only hardens to what can best be described as a stiff bendiness that breaks or separates if there is too much flexing or pressure, but it does not harm the PP plastic and is easy to clean up and remove from PP if needed. • Little documentation on specific materials that Plastic Bonder or any other JB-Weld is compatible with. Though they do respond to questions sent through the contact form on their website (jbweld.com) within a day or so. Tips: • Wear gloves. Though not listed, it sticks to skin quite well and is difficult to remove if left on your fingers for any amount of time. Alcohol, or acetone can help if it has only been a few minutes. • Have paper towels ready before you start applying. If Plastic Bonder gets on anything accadently, you need to quickly wipe it off. • Protect your work surface. This stuff is almost magical in its ability to get on everything in the immediate area. • For small items I have found the following useful: > Use painters' tape to hold the item together while curing. The tape usually releases relatively easily after a few hours and helps keep everything in place. > Using tinfoil as a drying surface works well. After about an hour of curing I gently twist the item to prevent the tinfoil from permanently bonding to the item I am working on. After an hour of curing Plastic Bonder usually has firmed up and enough to tolerate gentle movement of the item, while still being soft enough to easily release from the tinfoil. > Toothpicks make good disposable applicators and cut up business cards are handy for shaping Plastic Bonder when applying to small items. Overall, I do recommend JB-Weld Plastic Bonder. I do wish it were offered in other packaging as the syringe works for medium sized repairs, but for larger repairs the syringe does not last very long, and for smaller repairs a lot of Plastic Bonder goes to waste as it is difficult to eject small quantities of Plastic Bonder in equal parts from the syringe. ... show more

  • It works!
Size: 25 ml
This product worked great! We had a separation between the bumper plastic and the wheel well that we were about to spend thousands of dollars on to fix. Did some research and found this external car glue and it was worth a try for under $10! We used the glue and tried to hold it for 8 minutes or so (instructions say 6 minutes) and it unglued immediately. We decided to try a wood clamp and walked away for 30 minutes and, lo and behold, it worked! It glued so tight that we went on a 2000+ mile road trip a few days later and it withstood the wind and heavy rain. I wouldn’t say it was as quick to dry as expected, but definitely did its job! I would absolutely recommend this and will use it again, if necessary! Pretty sure this is what body shops use and will charge thousands. Totally worth the money! ... show more
