Description

J-B KwikWeld is a fast setting version of The Original J-B Weld two-part epoxy cold weld system that provides strong, lasting repairs to metal and multiple other surface types. After mixing, it forms a permanent bond and can be shaped, tapped, filed, sanded and drilled after curing. J-B KwikWeld has a 1:1 mixing ratio, sets in 6 minutes and is fully cured in 4-6 hours. J-B KwikWeld cures to a dark grey color, is rated at a tensile strength of 2424 PSI and will withstand temperatures up to 300ºF.

I highly recommend this product. I used it to glue some plastics (including a cracked hardshell suitcase) and the bond is absolutely incredible. Mixing is easy and takes less then a minute. Apply and in a few mins it begins to cure achieving sufficient strength in about 6 hrs. The only potential downside is that the compound remains dark gray and thus you may not want to use it on a surface which will be visible. Otherwise, this is a great product and IMHO a significant improvement over the various epoxy-based solutions I've seen and used in the past. ... show more

I've used this product many times and purchase again when I run out or it ages. Only drawback is that it is a little messy to use. But for my need the small quantity means I don't waste too much. It is especially good at repairing plastic items. But note that the repair is not invisible and shows even when painted. With that in mind, be selective where you use it. ... show more

I got an aging 2002 Chevy Cavalier and this combo adhesive allowed me to fix the loose hook on my car's sun visor. Due to a crack in the hole where the hook goes it would constantly move and slowly slide off. There's little to no grip to it. So i gave this a try. I mixed the adhesives, applied it generously to the sun visor hook and the cracked hole. It took only a few minutes for it set in. Now there's a tight seal as well as a grip to the sun visor and it's no longer lose at all. It does have a potent smell to it. You may want to wear a mask when you use it. ... show more

My Jonsered 621 was running extremely rough. I thought it was a fuel problem but after checking out all fuel items it still ran rough and I couldn't adjust the carburetor at all. Finally took the carburetor off to check it out and noticed a large crack in the intake manifold. Finding a new intake manifold for a 40 year old saw is difficult at best so I decided to try J-B Weld. The crack in the manifold was along the top and had nearly completely separated the top portion. In order to weld the entire length of the crack I separated the top portion completing the crack. I followed the directions on the tubes, mixed the two parts, spread a light coating on both pieces (to insure complete coverage) and clamped the pieces back together. Let dry/cure overnight and reassembled the saw. Started up on second pull and I was then able to adjust the carburetor so that it ran like new. Before welding I did insure that the pieces fit together perfectly, no gaps, etc. I've been using the saw fairly regularly since repairing and it's running great. Highly recommend having this stuff on hand for emergencies. ... show more
