I had to put this cat tree together by myself. While I was initially intimidated, once I pulled everything out of the securely packaged box (the parts were tightly packed in a plastic bag that was in a heavy, wax-coated box) and checked each piece off the list to make sure it was all there, I realized it wouldn't be that bad. Didn't even need any tools. They supply the necessary allen wrench. It took me roughly an hour to assemble with no problems. This thing is really tall. I had to leave out the next to last section at the top because it was going to hit my ceiling. I left out the one section and continued on with the very top, adjusting the rods as directed, now the very top is about 2 inches from the ceiling. It seems very sturdy, the package weighed over 35 lbs. It doesn't seem quite as stable as I'd have liked, but that could just be my floors (we just moved here, so I'm just not positive if it's the tree or the floor). But the cats have been all over it, jumping, running, and climbing - without knocking it over, so... that's a bonus! They love the little corner cubby and the hammocks, which they usually sleep in one together. One of them (I suspect Spartacus) tore one of the little fluffy balls off the sting in less than 72 hours. But they do have a spare in the box for just such occasions. They also include 2 spare carpeted "tubes", which is also nice... just in case. The desert cactus design is cute, in my opinion. Overall, it was definitely worth the price and I would purchase it again if I needed another one. Despite the ball (he's a pretty aggressive kitten in the playing world) I still give it 5 stars. ... show more

It was pretty easy to put together, except don't be like me and mix up the letters m and w lol. it's really large and looks really cool, but i only took off one star because it's not extremely sturdy but it's not bad, the ledges are also not that large but my cats fit. also some of the carpet was ripped when i received it in the package ... show more

I was, as always, skeptical when buying this. Pleasantly surprised. It's sturdy, well put together and the kittens absolutely love it! My boy, piper, hangs out in the top hammock all the time, while it also becomes a crazy spot when doing zoomies with his sister. They are 6 and 8 months so lots energy and growth. Its holding up great so far no complaints. Might add another support bravket to wall, just because, not because it needs it. Kind of bummed i didn't get the step up now, next time. Ha ... show more

Our cats have loved the tree, I never leave review but I had to for this one. This tree is to tall I recommend using the end pieces at the top to press against your ceiling for added stability. Cats like to jump on stable things so I figured doing that would help make them feel more comfortable to climb to the top and it did! It's pretty easy to assemble but does take at least an hour if not two. We love the way it looks and the cats love to play and sleep in it! ... show more

I absolutely love this! It was so easy to put together and adjustable in all the right places if you have low or high ceilings. Much sturdier than I thought as well. My 6 months old kitten was going nuts with enjoyment running up and down! Unfortunately this is not for plus size cats.
