Overall a good value even with the fenestration shorfalls. Easy to assemble and love the lift-up roof. The dog loves the front windows, but the plastic door flaps don't match the door and the side windows don't have plexiglass (open to the elements). Super easy to put together. Have only had this for a month, so not sure how it will last through the winter but it seems pretty sturdy. I'm using this for my two large Peking ducks and there is plenty of room. Had to revise the door entry with an actual door that closed and locked.

My product came with installation tools. But no instructions. After setting up the wood was so fragile my dog who’s only a year (30lbs) was able to enjoy his house for the weekend. The quality of wood used is not sturdy. He grabbed onto the plastic part and the whole wall framing came off with it. The walls opened even though they were screwed for security (cheap wood) the floor won’t stay lifted and every time my dog stands on it he and the floor boards fall through. Incredibly disappointing. Not worth it. Especially for an outside bigger dog. This would be great for tiny dogs in my opinion. But not a thing larger than small. ... show more

This dog house is so cute. The windows sold me...not really sure how Teko feels about them but I thought he'd be happier being able to see outside. It took about an hour to build by myself, going at a normal speed. I think the toughest part was getting the plastic off the windows. I used a box cutter to trim the small plastic bits that stuck. Teko was not a fan of the plastic door flaps but they easily screw off and now he's happy. We had a crazy thunderstorm two days after I built it and it survived so yes, five stars. ... show more

    • This is NOT for LARGE dogs
We have a 55 lbs Doberman and he fits, but is cramped inside this house. Cannot sit up with roof closed. This is not for LARGE dogs and should not be advertised as if it is. 2-star rating is for that plus it's very flimsy. The instructions even indicate to use a manual screwdriver, not electric, because, presumably, an electric one may easily overpower the flimsy materials. Spending more on a more sturdy product, and larger if you have a large dog, is probably a better use of your money. ... show more

It looks just like the picture and extremely easy to put together. I am a girl and I did it myself with a screw driver in about 20 mins it’s big and holds a lot of weight my over weight blue Staffordshire terrier fits in there with a full dog bed inside as well !!
