Our dog loves his older bed, but he had pretty much torn the original cover to shreds. For quite a while we were just putting a fleece blanket over the bed and using several straps to keep it in place. It worked, but it was kind of a pain every time we needed to take it off or put it back on. This cover has been a much better solution. It fits the bed very well and actually stayed in place pretty well on its own. We did add a couple of straps on the back just to make sure our dog doesn't manage to pull it off, but we probably could have gotten away without them. It is much easier to remove and put back on than our old fleece blanket and strap setup, and the waterproof material is a really nice bonus. We liked this cover enough that we ended up buying a second one so we can swap them out whenever one needs to be washed. Overall, this has been a great way to keep using a dog bed our dog already loves instead of replacing the whole thing.

If you spent an embarrassing amount of money on a premium dog bed like I did, do yourself a favor and buy this cover before your bank account sheds actual tears! It is a total lifesaver for rescuing my investment from my dog, who loves to dunk her entire face into her water bowl like a scuba diver and immediately sprint to her bed to use it as a giant, plush napkin. Between that routine and her other full-time job of incessantly licking the fabric when she’s feeling anxious, this cover has been an absolute fortress. The endless puddles of drool and water never soak through to ruin the expensive memory foam underneath. Shockingly, the fabric also genuinely resists pet hair, so fur just brushes right off like magic instead of weaving itself in forever. When it finally comes time for a deep clean, you can just toss it into the washing machine. Because it pops on and off like a fitted sheet with a strong elastic band, it completely eliminates the Olympic sport of wrestling with the tight, frustrating zippered cover that originally came with her bed. Unlike other waterproof protectors that make your dog sound like they are sleeping on a giant, crunchy potato chip bag, this one is completely noise free, ultra soft, and super comfy. The cute quilted paw print design is totally flat, and the forty four by thirty two by seven inch sizing is completely accurate, hugging the mattress snugly without bunching up. The grey color is also subtle enough to blend into my home decor seamlessly. The only minor thing to mention is that there were quite a few random threads around the top edge when it arrived. They were easy enough to snip off with scissors, but I wanted to mention it anyhow. *Just keep in mind that this is a cover only, so you do need your own mattress insert, but if you want to keep your dog's favorite bed from smelling like a literal swamp, this is the ultimate, hassle free shield!!

We inherited an older dog from a family member who still acts like a puppy, but is 15. I requested this for the "just in case" factor that can happen any time. This fit like a dream after measuring the bed. It is true to size and she loves it, snuggling her head all over it. Bonus- no pet hair was left behind which still amazes me even after 2 days. This dog bed cover came folded and packaged well (pic 1). The materials tag was easy to find and read too (pic 2) which will help with monthly washings. With the seams on the side, there was only 1 loose thread on the whole thing (pic 3). The top part has cute and subtle paw print pattern that looks like they are stitched, but are not (pic 4). After putting this on, I was very pleased because of the forethought they had to leave an open bottom and preserve the non-slip base the bed has. Within 1 minute, it was on, and is much better than her old wool blanket for the warmer seasons with her double coat. This cover having the no hair sticking to it claim so far is true. We shall see when the coat blow out happens how it stands up. I really am glad to have found this item and even happier that the pup likes it too. Her claws don't get caught, she runs off of this with no problems. Very good product at a good price and transparent listing description that holds nothing back. I would recommend this for all dog-loving folks.

Does the Job, but Thinner Than I Expected

This dog bed cover is okay overall, but I’m not as impressed with it as I hoped I would be. I have another waterproof cover from a different brand that was only about $10 more, and the difference in quality is pretty noticeable. That one feels much softer, thicker, and more substantial, while this cover feels quite thin in comparison. So far, it is waterproof in the sense that liquid has not leaked through, which is obviously the most important part. However, because the material is so thin, I do question how well the waterproof layer will hold up long term after repeated use and washing. I wouldn’t necessarily call it poor quality, but it doesn’t feel especially durable either. The fit is actually pretty good on our Serta couch style dog bed, and the elastic makes it easy to put on and remove. It is also convenient to throw in the washing machine. Pet hair does stick to the surface, despite the listing mentioning hair resistance, but it comes off pretty easily with a lint roller. Overall, it works and fits well, but for a little more money I think there are thicker and more substantial options available.

The fitted design stays in place, the quilted paw-print pattern is adorable, and the waterproof material gives me some much-needed peace of mind when life with a pet gets a little messy. Fitted design: The elastic band helps keep the cover securely in place instead of turning it into a blanket. Washable: Because apparently dogs believe cleanliness is someone else’s responsibility. I have an XL crate (42 inches) with a crate pad. I got a waterproof cover for it, and then another cover which is fuzzy and soft. And then I realized that crumbs and debris are getting stuck in the fuzzy fabric, and I have to unzip it all and take the whole thing off to wash it, then wrestle it back on. I don't mind doing this from time to time, but then thinking back to my kids' crib sheets, I thought, wow, they should make these for dog beds. And of course they do! This fits the XL rectangular crate pad perfectly, and has enough of an overlap under the pad and elastic edging it stays on just fine, but is easy to get on and off. I'm going to get another so I can have one in the laundry. I appreciate that it says it is waterproof as well. I was worried it would seem hard or plasticy, or make a crunchy noise, but the fabric is pretty soft and doesn't make noise. The gray color is very practical. This is a very handy idea for everyone who has a crate pad. It may not be as luxurious as the fuzzy pad, but with that pad underneath, it is still cushy, and the fabric of this dog bed cover is soft.
