I wanted to expand my PS5 internal storage and this is exactly what I needed at a good price point. I've used Patriot products for years and never once had any issues so this was an easy decision. Installation is super easy and I used both heatsinks provided and there are no issues with spacing or the overall fit. The entire process of unplugging everything attached to my PS5, removing the cover, installing drive and putting everything back together took no more than 5 minutes. You will need a small Phillips screwdriver to install the drive. The hardest part is removing the PS5 cover. INSTALLATION: Put PS5 on a flat surface with the PS5 logo at the top left corner Turnover so logo is facing down Grab the top right corner of the outer case while holding the bottom left corner of the actual PS5, not the case Pull up ever so slightly and then SLIDE the case down, don't pull too hard, you want to SLIDE the case off. I used this SSD to expand my PS5 storage. It’s easy to install and it fits with both heatsinks on it. What I really dislike about it is the overrated read/write speeds. I tested this thing out and it really averages about 5500 read. I understand that the package says up to 7400 but I expected it to average more around 6500. Anyway it barely meets the minimum specs that PlayStation asks. Like I said good but not great. ... show more
