Gas engines work great, until they overheat and seize in a moment of glorious destruction. Luckily for me, I saw the telltale signs of eminent pump failure and got this Parod Water Pump replacement in time. To the Point or TL;DR Fits 2000 Ford Explorer LTD V6 4.0L engine like a glove, Get a better gasket, Good quality finishes, No blemishes on mounting surface, Way cheaper than local box store, Hope it last. The Good Stuff This is a excellent replacement for my OEM pump that was failing. Mated perfectly with all bolts, clutch fan bell, and belt. I opted for the upgraded FEL-PRO 35474 gasket like some others because I didn't want to do this twice. Have run it hard since install and there are no signs of leaks and temperature is right where it should be. The Bad Stuff None to date, but there is the joke about the guy that jumps from a roof and as he passes each floor people ask how it's going, and he replies "so far, so good". Me Final Thoughts Always nice to find a quality part to keep these older vehicles running, plus for me, its an opportunity to share and bond with my kids while teaching them a little something about the world. Installed and works great, no leaks on an 07 Explorer 4.0. The gasket provided is flimsy, you’ll most likely need to purchase a higher quality one, unless you like taking apart your engine to replace leaky gaskets…

****Lydia from the seller MACEL reached out to me and has corrected the issue to my satisfaction. Great customer service as they reached out to me months after the return window closed. THANK YOU LYDIA.**** Installed the pump only to find out the bolt pattern and bolt size for the pully are not the same as the original part. All that work only to have to remove a new but junk part. Of course the return window is closed since I ordered the part back in October and only got to install it today 3-1-25.

After installing the new water pump to the block, I realized the factory pulley does not line up with the water pump. The ID (inside diameter) hole on the factory pump pulley is bigger than the 1.375 OD on the new pump. Also, the 4 bolts that came out of the factory water pump are 10mm threads and the threads on this water pump are 6mm. Nothing about this water pump is correct except lining up properly with the block. Luckily, I work in a machine shop and will be making an aluminum pulley tomorrow that fits. I went to 2 different chain auto parts stores and both had the exact pulley that I have that came off my 98 Ford Explorer. Unless you plan on making your own billet pulley, I wouldn't order this one!

Looks like the right part but where the bolt holes are to hook the fan like as it they just had drilled them and package was still metal shavings on the part and in the bag.
