Description

Save your thumbs and retain your sanity. The Park Tool BMT-1 is designed to quickly and easily unseat virtually any bicycle tire bead with minimal effort, particularly on tight-fitting tubeless systems. The locking jaws of the BMT-1 are tightened against the sidewalls using the large adjustment knob, firmly squeezing the tire body. Once the long, strong handle is pulled laterally in either direction, the bead is pulled away from the bead seat and towards the center channel, allowing for removal using a tire lever or other method. Non- marring jaw covers protect the rim and tire from damage.

I am 80 years old and the new tires are a total pain to get off my bike. I checked and this was recommended. I am ssure it would be great if you own a bike shop, but there is no way this can be carried around where I need it. I'm an older cyclist and apparently don't have the hand strength to break the bead on my bike tires. This tool makes the job simple and quick. Well made and adapts to various tire widths. Highly recommend.

Too heavy , too expensive, too cumbersome. It does work but so does just about any woodworking clamp for $10 Returned it. Oh, it is also great for pinching your fingers.
