As a healthcare professional, I found this product to be of good quality. I purchased to keep at home. I use a Litman for work, and this one sounds just as good. So, for someone looking to purchase a quality product, but may be on a budget, this would work well.

    • I wish sound came through louder and clearer
Edit: Customer support reached out and sent me a new unit, which they didn't have to since I was just outside the warranty period. While the new one is slightly better it still has faint sound. I'm going to assume all the stethoscopes I've used in the past (from family members in the health field) are expensive units so they pick up sound very clearly. This is not that, but it is affordable and will meet my needs for something just to have at home, should I ever need it. Original: Can't hear much of anything with either side of the head. The one time I did manage to hear my heart beat I had to keep my finger over the little hole on the smaller side to pick up any sound with the larger side, and it was faint. Maybe I got a defective one. I don't know. ... show more

I'm a respiratory therapy student and bought this stethoscope last year for clinicals. One year later, and I'm still using it! It has held up very well. The sound and quality are both fairly good (though it is harder to hear fine crackles with this stethoscope). The only comment I have about it is that the white part doesn't hold up too well to alcohol swabs/other types of cleaning materials. I've had to replace it once. It's not real fancy, but still a good first stethoscope to use at clinicals! ... show more

    • Good cheap stethoscope
*I received this stethoscope for free in exchange for my honest review* I use an expensive littmann stethoscope as my main go-to. This one is no where near the same quality, but at such a low price, I wouldn’t expect it to be! I can hear lung, heart and bowel sounds appropriately, not quite as loud as with the littmann, but better than the cheap double tube ones. The earpieces are your generic hard plastic. (I’m partial to the soft ones littmann provides because I feel like they fit better in my ears) I don’t know how well it will stand up in the long run, but I’ve let me 3 year old play with it for the last few weeks and it’s held up well to his abuse! The name tag fell off within an hour, so don’t rely on that. Overall, it’s a good cheap stethoscope! ... show more

First, to be clear - I bought this to use as a Halloween costume prop. That said, I was surprised at how well it worked. I wouldn't recommend it for medical professionals that would be using it all day (comfort would be an issue).
