The eraser is amazing and doesn't smudge
Style: 0.7MM
these pencils are the best pencils I've ever drawn or wrote with. I wish they were easily accessible instead of just on Amazon, but I love them so much. I will do anything for them.

My favorite mechanical pencils!
Style: 0.7MM
I write with my left hand and like larger sized pencils. The pack I received contained both a red and a gray colored Paper Mate Clear Point Elite mechanical pencil, along with two spare eraser refills and a case of 0.7mm lead. The rubber texture feels much better and is more durable as compared to its non-Elite cousins. Other areas where the Elite version has improved are the twisting of the eraser and the removal of the eraser cap. The eraser stays in place much better and will not twist back into the eraser cap as easily. The eraser cap also stays put much better and will not fly off when flipping the pencil over to use the eraser. It is possible to clean the mechanical pencil by using a wet wipe to remove the graphite stains that accumulate on the rubber over time. Please note not to attempt to remove the button that advances the lead; otherwise, this may damage the part and render the mechanical pencil useless. I find that this mechanical pencil also uses lead down to a smaller bit compared to some of the other standard mechanical pencils that I have used. Reasons you may want to use this mechanical pencil are: Comfort + Long lasting large eraser + Larger lead reservoir + and reduced lead breakage + efficient lead usage. ... show more

I love using these pencils
Style: 0.7MM
I love these pencils. Dark led, good point. sturdy. This is at least the third time I've bought these. I have tried and returned others that had great reviews (and were cheaper), but none had as nice a led as these. Well worth it! Has made me enjoy writing more with these pencils than ball point pens ... show more

Great Pencil
Style: 0.7MM
I love this pencil. The eraser is large and lasts a while, the sharp tip retracts so it doesn't poke you when it is in your pocket, and it feels comfortable in your hand. The only problem is that the rubber on the outside wears out and detaches from the pencil after a while.

From the view of a 12 year old
Style: 0.7MM
These are the best pencils...ever. I've never kept a pencil for longer than maybe two weeks, but these have lasted me nearly two months and I haven't lost either. With every other pencil I've used, it gets sore in between my forefinger and my thumb- not these. The soft grip really helps for perfect writing with my unique pencil grip. I really don't like writing with traditional pencils, but on most mechanical pencils you have to push down on the eraser if it breaks-which is much more frequently on mechanical than traditional. This led barely ever breaks and when it does, you simple push a button on the grip to get more, and that's a luxury compared to reaching all the way to the top. The clip is metal and rounded, so it'd be very hard to snap off. It even comes with two replacement erasers! I use my eraser frequently and I've barely started the first ones. If you look at it from the right angle you can see how much led is left without taking the top off becauseof the clear part. 5 star product. ... show more

For puzzle fans!
Style: 0.7MM
My wife and I are New York Times crossword puzzle addicts and we like to do them in pencil (I often have to correct my wife's entries....:). We went through a ton of the "buy a dozen and throw away' type but the erasers gave out long before the lead did. We have a clipboard for the crosswords and just clip the mechanical pencil to the board to pass it back and forth. With the boat motion, it often winds up on the floor. We had bought the cheaper version of this pencil but found that the plastic clip did not withstand the rigors of boat life. This model has a metal clip, lots of lead and, most importantly, an eraser that can be replenished just by twisting the top - it raises the long eraser higher as it wears away. The grip has rubber cushioning and is very comfortable for long puzzle solving, it's the perfect mechanical pencil for us. One more thing, we prefer the 0.7mm lead vs the 0.5mm because we've found the 0.7mm lead to be more durable, breaks less and produces a blacker line with less effort and with no tearing of the paper as we found sometimes happens with thinner lead, especially if you do the puzzle in the newspaper instead of printing it out on the computer. The included eraser removes all traces of the lead when "the other person" makes a mistake. ... show more
