I purchased these while they were on sale. I also read the reviews and notes that a lot of customers mentioned how difficult they were to pull apart as they come stacked. Along with someone having one of the tops broken. I first inspected everything then, CAREFULLY, ‘shimmied’ them apart by pulling each side a little at a time. No problems after that! I like that they seem sturdy enough, although, I can tell that they would be easy to crack if not handled gently. With that said, the seal is good, they are large and suit my needs to keep bugs out! The labels and pen were a bonus and work very well.

I ordered the 5.2 liter containers, and found them to be great for storing flour. Although one of the lids was cracked and failed to close properly, the other two sealed up nicely. Because of the way one of the lids is broken, I believe that the other lids will fail in a similar manner over time. The items came nested together, with one lid snapped closed and the others inside the container along with three one cup scoops. There was no issue separating the containers since the included plastic film made them easy to separate. Two of these containers easily store 10 pounds of flour. I cannot find a way to replace the broken lid without returning all of the containers. I will keep them, even though the broken lid means that I can only use two out of the three containers.

The container s are just the right size, 1 gallon, for many uses in the kitchen. I use them for grains, pasta, beans. I also use them for gallons of soup, for small garden vegetables, spaghetti sauce. And I use them to store vegetable and meat compost in the refrigerator until compost day.
