I have been using the 1.5 cu. ft. model for almost a year, and I am very happy with it. It is still working great. It is lightweight and doesn’t take up much space, so it is easy to move around when needed. Even though it is compact, it can easily dry about two drying rack loads of clothes. The more clothes you put in, the longer the drying time will be. It also heats well, but the drying performance depends on the size of the load. I recommend cleaning the lint filter regularly. Otherwise, your clothes can come out covered with lint, and it also affects the dryer’s performance. It is not noisy, and it has saved me both time and money.

I just started using this yesterday. I have a Midea portable washing machine 1.6 cu.ft.Top Loading Washing and the way I've figured it is that half loads in that machine will be the maximum amount that this dryer can accommodate. I was able to find a 3" to 4" converter to connect the indoor vent and hook up was quick and easy. I have found that it is more time efficient to turn the dial to the red area between 120 to 200 minutes as it does seem to be hotter in that range vs the lower orange/yellow time ranges. Plus, I don't have to deal with the built in cool down time in the lower time range. If I want to run a 1 hour cycle, I just set the dial to 180 minutes and stop it at 120 minutes so it will be hot the whole time. The following sized loads took an hour each to dry: 1) 4 sweatshirts (mens medium/large), 2) about 12 washcloths/dishrags, 6 pairs of cotton socks, 4 pairs of flannel boxer shorts and 2 tee shirts, 3) 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, 6 dishrags/washcloths. Right now I am drying a smaller load of 3 thermal tops with a tee shirt. They came out bone dry after an hour. In case you are wondering about sheets (the main reason I got this machine), a single queen size sheet will fit. I try to not fill the drum more than about half full to allow for efficient tumbling and drying. I could stuff the other sheet in but it wouldn't dry very well. BTW, I run 2 spin cycles after each load to extract more water from the clothes. I have this on top of my refrigerator and it fits perfectly. The room it is in is a combo living/dining/kitchen/office multipurpose room. It did get a little bit warm when running this when the oven was on but otherwise it doesn't seem to heat up the room too much. Humidity went from 30 to 50% which is fine in the wintertime. In the warmer months I plan to vent it out the window. If you don't mind doing smaller loads more often and are limited on space this could be what you are looking for if you want to skip the laundromat. Update: this is my third week of using the dryer and I'm getting the hang of optimal load size and what temp range and time to use. Biggest challenges so far are: pants (at least corduroy) come out wrinkled (even when dried alone), only 1 queen size sheet fits so it takes 2-3 hours to dry the whole set. When I get the load/temp and time just right the clothes come out beautifully. My goal is to dry the loads in an hour. This is a pretty amazing little thing. You just have to be willing to accept the size limitation but I am working around it. I find it's actually easier and faster to keep up with my laundry by doing smaller loads more often. If you want a dryer but are very space (and outlet) challenged I recommend seriously considering this product. Of course, this is really best suited for a single person, perhaps a couple without children. Update 3/8/15: I've been using the dryer for 2 months and have come to love it. I have figured out the right size load/temp settings to dry the loads within an hour (I do two extra spin cycles on my portable washer to reduce drying time). I typically do several small loads a week but I've been sick and let it pile up. No problem! By the time the first load dries, the second load of wash is ready to go in the dryer. Before the dryer I was doing wash all day long on one of the weekend days but no more. I'll get through the 4 loads I have today in a few hours. Pants are still problematic as they come out too wrinkled (I hate ironing) but I spray them with wrinkle releaser and they come out looking pretty good. Sheets still take several hours as you can only do 1 queen sheet at a time but it so so worth it to not have to trudge out in the snow and sub freezing temps to go to the laundromat just to dry a few things.. The best part is I really haven't noticed an increase in my electric bill! People have complained about cleaning the lint filter. I always clean the lint filter after every load in any dryer I've had. This one needs an extra step or two but it's no biggie. I know cleaning the lint filter helps it dry more efficiently and that's what I am after. I have included front and side views (side view with indoor vent kit attached), the lint filter and an example of a load that I dried in an hour. Update 11/24/16: A little before the 1 year warranty was up the dryer started making a scraping noise. Eventually I notice a white piece of felt protruding from the drum. I contacted the company after the warranty was up (my fault) and was told it was the felt that cushions the dryer drum. In all honesty, my interactions with the company were very pleasant. The problem is that it could take as long as 2 months to get the felt from them at 18.00 or buy another drum with the felt for 60.00. Just wanted to let people know that there could be some issues if you need a replacement part. I know this makes me hesitant to purchase from them again despite their helpful service.

Read update before spending money on a potentially costly repair. I got impatient waiting on the washer, (Ordered in March and still waiting), so I hand washed some clothes to test out the dryer. Even with being handwashed and wrung out by hand, this dryer still dried the load of some shorts, tshirts, underwear and socks in about 80 minutes. They were even wrinkle free! Setup was simple enough and where I put the dryer, on a small stand by a window, the supplied vent hose was more than long enough to stick out of a window. Everything seemed to vent fine and I had no issues with moisture. At first I thought something was wrong because it took over 10 minutes before it started drying with heat, but once it got going, it dried perfectly. It is also a very quiet dryer. It is small, so use common sense with how much to dry at one time. With just my daughter and myself, this seems like a good sized dryer for us. So far so good. Guess I'll see how it lasts over time. Update: About a year later since I bought this, and so far, all I have had to do is replace the blower motor belt. It had a tear and wasn't gonna last long. One issue I just figured out and I am glad I did. I recently started hearing that metal on metal grinding sound and everywhere I looked was pointing to the motor going bad. Finding a motor for this is a chore on its own apparently, so I got irritated and said whatever, I'll run it till the wheels fall off and be done with it. Well today, it was getting louder than usual, so I took the back of the dryer to take another peek. Plugged it in with the back off and heard the noise. Long story short, I didnt even check the belt once I changed it and if you look, there is kind of a sponge on the drum (cant miss it when you look to see) that the belt rotates on. The belt actually wore it all the way through and was vibrating off the drum when turning. So it wasn't metal on metal but it sure sounded like the dryer was gonna die at any minute. Anyways, there was a chunk of sponge left that I ripped and reglued in place. Turned on the dryer and it ran like it was brand new again. So before you panic and think a motor is bad, check for that and it's an a easy fix. So much for a long story short, but figured it was worth updating and informing since everywhere I have looked says the motor is the culprit. Not in this case anyways.

I have been using this dryer for almost five months now and it's done quite well. Our apartment has no hookups and the coin laundry prices are ridiculously high so we bought the Black and Decker portable washer and this dryer. It's fairly quiet and gets small loads (2 to 3 tshirts and a couple pairs of underwear or one to two pairs of pants) done fast. You can put it anywhere you have a standard 3 prong outlet (most US wall outlets) If you're not able to vent to outdoors, make sure you get the indoor venting attachment as it gets super warm vented inside. It does okay vented out my bedroom window but kind of sucks on hot summer days. That's pretty much any dryer though. We are considering using this for supplemental heating in the winter it's so hot. My only complaint is I wish load capacity was a bit larger. It doesn't keep up with my portable washer in terms of load size and I have to split a load in half or sometimes even thirds to get it done effectively. I knew it was a mini dryer when I bought it so I can't complain too much, just don't expect the same capacity or dry time for a standard size dryer and you won't be disappointed.

I purchased the Panda compact dryer (13.2 lbs, 110V) for an apartment setup, and it’s been a great solution. The size is perfect for small spaces, and it handles everyday laundry really well. It dries clothes evenly and more efficiently than I expected for a compact dryer. Towels and regular loads come out warm and dry without needing multiple cycles. It’s also fairly quiet, which is a big plus when using it in an apartment. The controls are simple and easy to use, and the machine feels solid and well built. I'm using this in my RV travel trailer along w/ a portable washing machine. My first test before install was great, ran it at 120 minutes at high heat w/ exhaust goin out the bathroom roof vent. Everything came out dry & toasty warm like a normal residential dryer (tested on socks, ~8-10 pairs or so). Still have yet to do the full install, but I will update after.

This WAS a really great dryer. Used 2-3 times a week, sometimes a little more depending on how busy the week was. Dried perfectly and never overheated. Dry time: about a hour of dry time for 2-3 Tshirts, 2 JEANS and a few undergarments. Less than a hour for workout attire. It’s fairly compact and light weight. The moment I added a replacement filter it shut off mid run. Normally I’d wash rinse and dry the original filter but it was time for a new one. I’m really disappointed it didn’t make it a year but I’m still surprised by its performance. Maybe if using the panda replacement filter it’d still work but who knows. Will probably buy a full size dryer to replace. Doesn’t pay if it’s not lasting even a year. Highly recommend if putting in a campe for seasonal use!
