  • Worked but...
Style: Dryer
Bought this when our dryer went out. We used it for about a month before we bought a new dryer and then we put it on our bathroom counter by thr bathroom wall outlet and just used it sporadically when I just needed to dry a couple things. It works well for what it js ...BUT... you have to do a dry on full heat 2 times to get everything 100% dry. Even for just 2 or 3 items. That's likely because it's not going to use as much power as a regular dryer, which means the drum won't get as hot/the unit won't produce as much heat. I also noticed that if I didn't check on the clothing, some would always get stuck to the drum wall like it suctioned to it, preventing heat to efficiently enter the drum for the other clothing. So I'd always check about halfway through and move around all the clothing to ensure everything dried evenly. It was kind of a hassle but not a big enough hassle to be irritating to us. Just something that other people should know about if they purchase this unit. Overall it met our immediate needs and then it met our random tiny load needs after we no longer needed it for regular use. ... show more

  • Why didn’t I buy this years ago?
Style: Dryer
I live in an apartment complex, so it’s nice having the machines right in my apartment. LESS IS MORE ! the machine is rated to hold about 5 pounds of clothes. I been putting in smaller loads and getting better performance. It’s pretty quiet and I can’t vent it right out my bedroom window. I have only had it for about 3 weeks but so far so good. Love this machine ... show more

  • So very compact with great capacity...
Style: Dryer
We don't have a lot of space to work with, so can't have a full size washer and dryer. We have a mini washing machine we carry into the kitchen to do our clothes and with cold weather approaching we won't be able to dry the clothes on the clothesline, so we ordered this unit, hoping it could do the job. Even though I knew the dimensions of the dryer, it still made us smile at how very small it is, yet it has impressive capacity for such a little unit. We can dry half a load from our washing machine at a time, and the clothes come out toasty and dry. I'm the type of person who doesn't like to read directions, but I did in this case and was glad I did. Pay attention to the drying instructions or you might think it isn't working like it should. It only uses full power and heat if you turn the dial past an hour. Then under an hour it uses half the heat. So I recommend that even if you have just a couple items to dry, always just turn the dial to the maximum time then after a bit check the items, if they are dry, just turn the dial back to the off position for a toasty warm and dry small load. For big loads, you'll turn it to the maximum anyway so the above only applies for tiny loads. The unit is quiet and balanced, no shimmying or vibration, and constructed impressively for the price. ... show more

  • If you're life is kinda terrible this dryer will seem great.
Style: Dryer
I wasn't meeting any hot single women at the local laundrette anyway so getting these apartment size washer and dryer won't quosh any coin-op laundry inspired love connection possibilities. Speaking of hook ups, setting up the washer and this dryer - a piece of cake Takes a bit longer compared to full size models but to me that's still luxury. If you've given up on finding a mate at the laundromat then I would recommend this dryer. ... show more

  • Small Load Wonder
Style: Dryer
I just started using this yesterday. I have a Midea portable washing machine 1.6 cu.ft.Top Loading Washing and the way I've figured it is that half loads in that machine will be the maximum amount that this dryer can accommodate. I was able to find a 3" to 4" converter to connect the indoor vent and hook up was quick and easy. I have found that it is more time efficient to turn the dial to the red area between 120 to 200 minutes as it does seem to be hotter in that range vs the lower orange/yellow time ranges. Plus, I don't have to deal with the built in cool down time in the lower time range. If I want to run a 1 hour cycle, I just set the dial to 180 minutes and stop it at 120 minutes so it will be hot the whole time. The following sized loads took an hour each to dry: 1) 4 sweatshirts (mens medium/large), 2) about 12 washcloths/dishrags, 6 pairs of cotton socks, 4 pairs of flannel boxer shorts and 2 tee shirts, 3) 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, 6 dishrags/washcloths. Right now I am drying a smaller load of 3 thermal tops with a tee shirt. They came out bone dry after an hour. In case you are wondering about sheets (the main reason I got this machine), a single queen size sheet will fit. I try to not fill the drum more than about half full to allow for efficient tumbling and drying. I could stuff the other sheet in but it wouldn't dry very well. BTW, I run 2 spin cycles after each load to extract more water from the clothes. I have this on top of my refrigerator and it fits perfectly. The room it is in is a combo living/dining/kitchen/office multipurpose room. It did get a little bit warm when running this when the oven was on but otherwise it doesn't seem to heat up the room too much. Humidity went from 30 to 50% which is fine in the wintertime. In the warmer months I plan to vent it out the window. If you don't mind doing smaller loads more often and are limited on space this could be what you are looking for if you want to skip the laundromat. Update: this is my third week of using the dryer and I'm getting the hang of optimal load size and what temp range and time to use. Biggest challenges so far are: pants (at least corduroy) come out wrinkled (even when dried alone), only 1 queen size sheet fits so it takes 2-3 hours to dry the whole set. When I get the load/temp and time just right the clothes come out beautifully. My goal is to dry the loads in an hour. This is a pretty amazing little thing. You just have to be willing to accept the size limitation but I am working around it. I find it's actually easier and faster to keep up with my laundry by doing smaller loads more often. If you want a dryer but are very space (and outlet) challenged I recommend seriously considering this product. Of course, this is really best suited for a single person, perhaps a couple without children. Update 3/8/15: I've been using the dryer for 2 months and have come to love it. I have figured out the right size load/temp settings to dry the loads within an hour (I do two extra spin cycles on my portable washer to reduce drying time). I typically do several small loads a week but I've been sick and let it pile up. No problem! By the time the first load dries, the second load of wash is ready to go in the dryer. Before the dryer I was doing wash all day long on one of the weekend days but no more. I'll get through the 4 loads I have today in a few hours. Pants are still problematic as they come out too wrinkled (I hate ironing) but I spray them with wrinkle releaser and they come out looking pretty good. Sheets still take several hours as you can only do 1 queen sheet at a time but it so so worth it to not have to trudge out in the snow and sub freezing temps to go to the laundromat just to dry a few things.. The best part is I really haven't noticed an increase in my electric bill! People have complained about cleaning the lint filter. I always clean the lint filter after every load in any dryer I've had. This one needs an extra step or two but it's no biggie. I know cleaning the lint filter helps it dry more efficiently and that's what I am after. I have included front and side views (side view with indoor vent kit attached), the lint filter and an example of a load that I dried in an hour. Update 11/24/16: A little before the 1 year warranty was up the dryer started making a scraping noise. Eventually I notice a white piece of felt protruding from the drum. I contacted the company after the warranty was up (my fault) and was told it was the felt that cushions the dryer drum. In all honesty, my interactions with the company were very pleasant. The problem is that it could take as long as 2 months to get the felt from them at 18.00 or buy another drum with the felt for 60.00. Just wanted to let people know that there could be some issues if you need a replacement part. I know this makes me hesitant to purchase from them again despite their helpful service. ... show more

  • Love it!
Style: Dryer
Great way of warning up your place in the winter. Has a high & low heat setting, as long as you don't overload it you can dry stuff in 1 cycle, otherwise it can take up to 2. I've never had any issues with it & I've owned it about a year now. Remember to clean your filter ever 1-3 loads just like you big dryers. ... show more
