I do allot with 3d printing of models and recently decided to print and paint some of the figures I printed. While basic colors are easy to paint, mixing and getting the proper shading is a little more difficult. The variety of color makes mixing much easier then adding tiny proportions of primary colors and so having the variety of color makes this job both easier while at the same time perhaps giving you a premixed color that will already meet your needs. The paint quality is extremely good with the paint well mixed and consistent as well as easy to drip (drops of color ) into your airbrush. Once you get a handle on thinning materials you get a great spray and great color that seems to be heavy duty as it involves wear from handling on your models. Well packaged, wish the box would open up and have dividers to store them but perhaps this is a lot to ask vs. placing these colors and supplies in a custom drawer or on a shelf made and organized to hold bottles like this. ... show more

I first got into airbrush some time ago for doing professional makeup. Then I got an airbrush for doing fabric design. Ever since then, everyone in my family has been wanting airbrushes and now they all want paints. I got this to help. HOW THIS COMES This comes in a bright box, good for storing the paints when not using. It comes with two bottles of thinner too. COLORS The selection is fabulous. Lots to choose from, but be aware that most are bright. If you are looking for subdued colors, they are limited. PERFORMANCE So far, all of these paints have performed well. Even metallics run smoothly with no clogs. Coverage is excellent and it works well on most surfaces. Our son is making game pieces and this is working well for him so far. I have to say, these are impressive for the price. THE BOTTOM LINE This set has a fabulous color selection and performs well. MY RATING FIVE STARS. This one is a winner so far.     • Love these colors and paints, but the title mislead me.
THIS DOES NOT COME WITH AN AIRBRUSH GUN. Perhaps I misread the product description, but I was excited to think that this set came with an airbrush gun. Upon opening the package, it was just the bottles of paint. That is totally fine, I just had different expectations. I was actually only looking for acrylic paint colors, so I am happy that this nice variety of colors will still do that job! That being said, I was anticipating trying out the spray gun for a new spin on creative painting. I won't dock any stars, cause I have to assume this was my error, but just know THIS IS ONLY A SET OF PAINTS BOTTLES! ... show more

This is an excellent set of paints with a nice variety. The paint lays down well, and the pigments are strong and consistent. I can’t wait to work through every color! For the price you can’t go wrong.

The price is right enough, 1$ a bottle is about as inexpensive as one can expect. Airbrush is the last new-to-me method and material, so my frame of reference is quite limited. My 1st certification is in automotive body paint and repair, that's where I first saw much of it; I know this paint is completely different than the enamel automotive paint - and equipment, obviously, so it isn't much of a frame of reference to juxtapose and compare. So far, I've just dabbled with it to get some familiarity, and it's pretty much as I expected, it does what most any other water-based paints does; I know I'll be toying with watercolor, gouache, and other acrylics - it'll take a while to get through all the options. This paint set seems to be as good of a starting point as one could want for; I'm rather picky about my materials these days, and while I don't expect archival quality from a starter set, this is probably as archival as the material it is applied on to. This set, with an airbrush or two, would be a great gift to any artist who may be interested in or just curious about it. ... show more

    • Smooth and vibrant
I found this airbrush paint to be a pleasure to work with. It goes on smoothly and, although they include two bottles of thinner, didn't need any real prep or thinning before use. There's a decent amount of paint in each bottle; especially given the budget friendly price point. I love the range of shades included. Some do seem really close to others in color but I'm ok with that. The metallics are some of my favorite in the set and I really enjoyed using these paints. ... show more

    • Probably better than your airbrush.
These paints are fantastic. The coverage is exceptional -- laid down well and uniformly with good contrast from deep, clean pigment. The viscosity was also good but the bottles seem small (more so given the squeeze tip).
