The Panasonic NN-SN76LS Cyclonic Wave Microwave Oven with Inverter Technology has 1250-watts of cooking power and makes cooking, defrosting and reheating quick and simple. At every temperature level, Cyclonic Wave circulates heat in ultra-efficient 3D waves for easier food preparation, even with denser, more complex food textures. Inverter Technology delivers a constant stream of cooking power at every temperature for more evenly cooked meals, edges to center. With the touch of the Genius Sensor button, this microwave takes the guesswork out of creating a great meal by automatically setting power levels and adjusting cooking or defrosting time. The sensor measures the amount of steam produced during cooking and calculates remaining cooking time at the appropriate power level. A selection of 14 auto cook options helps quickly prepare favorite foods, like pizza, popcorn, pasta, soup, oatmeal and other dishes. I generally don't review things, and never expected to reviewing a microwave at that... but this microwave as been something else. I was skeptical of the sensor cooking or the "cyclonic inverter" figuring they were throwing buzz words around. I spent the first week with a thermal camera and a thermometer testing out the auto sensor feature and setting with anything i could think of, frozen dinners, lasagna, pizza, leftovers., popcorn (bagged and in popcorn poppers) and can only say i'm impressed. It's pretty much cooked everything perfectly even the frozen lasagna was 160f at the center running 180 around the edges with just selecting the auto feature. I think this sounds stupid however this microwave legitimately makes me feel like i'm in the future. For the last month i havn't bothered setting a time on anything or even looking at cooking instructions as I press the sensor button and hit start (sometimes changing it to frozen or based on the type of food) If i'm cooking something that i prefer a little more thoroughly cooked (170-180) I'll place a plate upside down over the food, I think takes a little longer for the moisture to reach the sensor. Regarding the popcorn button i've always been told to not use, it works perfectly, trying to do popcorn by sounds (pops-per-second) I always end up with more kernals, more burnt, and frequently both kernals and burnt popcorn. Selecting the right size bag via the popcorn button really felt like they had dialed it in finding no no burnt popcorn and nearly if not all kernals popped. I wouldn't go out of my way to get this microwave if you alreaddy have a perfectly good one, however if you're reading this review... I'm only saying that I would buy this again in a heartbeat. The microwave heata very well. It's solid and seems well built. And interface is mostly intuitive. That said the child lock is annoying, and if it ever loses power it turns back on, so keep the instructions close if it has to share an outlet or is somewhere it'll lose power, as you'll have to turn that off every time, not that just pressing the unlock button is hard. The main issue I have is many times after cooking, unless I manually hit the stop/reset button, it isn't possible to enter a time or anything to start cooking something else. Very annoying. Runs pretty quiet. Overall I like the functions but the child lock and reset on cycle finish are annoying. ... show more

I have been using a model similar to this one for several years and it has been a workhorse. Because of the space, I needed one with like dimensions and this model fit the space. Quality still appears to be there but there has been some cheapening of the door opening latch button that is now plastic rather than the previous metal one. Review of Panasonic NN-SN76LS 1.6 cu.ft Cyclonic Inverter Countertop Microwave Oven 1250Watt Power with Genius Sensor Cooking, 19.44"D x 21.88"W x 11.94"H, Stainless Steel My 30-year-old Amana Radarange finally began peeling paint on the interior, so I had to retire it (I am not handy enough to repaint it). A lot of research led me to the Panasonic brand. I wanted one with a stainless steel interior for easier cleaning and not having to worry about peeling paint. I first tried the Panasonic that has Alexa integration, but it would not work consistently with Alexa, so I returned it. A more thorough search resulted in this one. After several delayed shipping notices, it finally arrived. I received what appears to be an open-box or returned item. Having just received a Panasonic and returned it, I knew how the new ones are packaged. The photos reflect the how it was repacked. The power cord was wound up and threaded through itself. It lacked the protective tape and wrappings on the cabinet and door. The manual and turntable wheel were loose inside the cabinet and with the turntable driver already installed. This thing is loud. It has a sound almost as if it’s churning. I posted a short video of it just starting up. It gets louder the longer it runs. I am considering returning this one since I did not get a new one. The insides did not appear to have debris, so maybe it was just a re-boxed floor model. But, once again, it sounds too loud, and something is possibly not right. The interior light is pretty dim too. It does seem to heat well, for what little I have used it so far. I don’t use pre-cook settings often, but there are several on this unit. I am so frustrated with Panasonic right now. The insides seem smaller than my old microwave (it’s a ¼ cubic foot). This is definitely not as tall on the inside. This unit is a lot lighter in weight than my old one. This unit is easier to move around for cleaning under and behind it. If not for the loudness and not sounding like it’s running correctly, I would likely give it 3.5 stars. Then adding in that I received a used or returned or opened box item, I am deducting more stars for this reason. I did not purchase the extended warranty, but maybe I should have. The price of this is not cheap. I can go to Walmart and get a 2.2 cubic foot, stainless steel interior microwave that has almost as many features as for about $150 less. ... show more
