  • The best hybrid camera on the market. Period.
Style: S1M2BODY Color: Black
I've owned the following lumix cameras in the following order: G7, GH5, S5, S5ii, and now S1ii. The S1ii isn't surprisingly the best of the bunch. With each camera, there have been minor improvements over it's predecessor. The jump from S5ii to S1ii is night and day. The image quality is noticeably better in photos and stills using the same lenses. The plethora of video modes was the primary reason I chose this camera over the S1Rii. I just didn't need massive still files as 24mp is more than adequate for my work. The internal raw codecs are a game changer for me. I work with my mlsr's on gimbals and using external monitor/recorders was an awful experience. It made the setup maddening to balance and use on a day to day basis. Now that I don't need to use one = priceless. ... show more

  • Excellent!
Style: S1M2BODY Color: Black
Camera is amazing. I bought it one month after it came out and have used it to film my show ever since. This camera does it all. And does it well. No regrets at all. Before this camera, I was never happy with my videos; now people are constantly complimenting my productions. A++++

  • Absolutely Incredible For Video
Style: S1M2BODY Color: Black
I am a Lumix Fan and had been a M43 fan since my buying my G85 way back when. I currently have a G9M2 and that is no slouch at video and a great all-around camera. Unfortunately for me (an fortunately for Panasonic) I suffer from CAS (camera acquisition syndrome). So when the price of this camera was briefly lowered to $2,525, I jumped. Good as the G9M2 is, this is better for video (I love that front tally lamp!) and with the recent software upgrade it does everything I want to do, and then some. The face that the hybrid zoom creates a zoom function for optically superior and faster fixed focal length lenses is magic! And did I mention 32-bit audio recording capability? I'm not giving up my G9M2, it is still my go-to for daylight photo walks. The smaller, lighter lenses are so much easier to carry around, and in good light, it rocks!. But for indoor photography and video, especially indoor video, the S1M2 is absolutely incredible! ... show more

  • Good product. Issues with shipping/packaging and QC with camera.
Style: S1M2BODY Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. Whoever packed it didn’t put any padding inside, leaving my $4k of camera equipment to bounce around freely inside the shipping box. After doing one exchange, the second one shipped with a little more packaging, material inside, still not great. The quality control issue I’m having: (see video) When I hold the camera with the right hand, I noticed that there was a snapping/clicking noise. I tried to figure out where it was coming from and I noticed it was from the top right back of the camera when I put pressure on it. It makes a snapping noise and is pretty audible. So far the camera has been working seemingly normal. However, this is not really acceptable to me on a brand new expensive camera. I’m not sure what to do as I am past the return window by a week. ... show more

  • Beast of a camera

Amazing camera best of 2025 and probably beyond. 6k 60, 4k 120, high burst , 4 way flip screen . This camera is a beast .

  • Just buy it already
Style: S1M2BODY Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. This is an impressive machine! Former Sony shooter here. The colors out of this need no further work. The hybrid zoom makes my lenses worth way more. The screen is best in class, also the stabilization. The new actualization improves the Ui of the eye autofocus and eliminates completely the overheating issue. Have no grapes other than the batterie life could be longer but I guess you can’t have it all in a camera. And if you could I guess this would be it. ... show more

  • Amazing overall
Style: S1M2BODY Color: Black
Very impressive all around camera. If you’re looking for a run and gun and full frame hybrid, difficult to beat with either the LUMIX S 24-60 f2.8 or Sigma 28-70 F2.8, but I think the cropless e-stabilization only works with the wider end of the LUMIX lens. IBIS is exceptional, no other options I tried have been remotely close. Pretty noticeable rolling shutter with DR boost on, but dynamic range is solid even when turned off. S5ii cages don’t fit, grip is a little different. Liked the colors straight out of camera of the S5ii a bit more. Definitely more prone to overheating than the S5ii in some settings, CF Express Type B seems to be the culprit. Would highly recommend recording to SD/SSD whenever possible if going above 60 fps or 5.7k. ... show more

  • Worth the wait
Style: S1M2BODY Color: Black
I've been waiting for a full frame panasonic camera that can shoot internal raw video since red lost that ridiculous patent and it's finally here. With the arri clog upgrade you can confidently shoot non raw and get great results. I was a little disappointed with the U.I. because there are way too many confusing choices in fps, codec and sensor size but once you understand them and set your custom modes up for both video and photo this camera is really easy to use. I almost took off a star because the arri clog is a paid upgrade but I actually think it's a fair compromise because gives the user the choice to pay for a feature they will use or not pay for something they won't use. I'm curious to see what the s1h mark ii with have that this camera does not, internal nd and 120 fps internal raw are the two things I would be willing to pay extra money for. Even without those this options this camera is better any other mirrorless camera at this price range and any and every mirrorless camera that does not have internal raw video recording ... show more
