  • Exceptional camera and customer service
First, the camera works really well! It is light weight and has an incredible zoom lens. Really happy with this camera. I was missing one accessory item which I thought was going to be a hassle but the seller made it right pretty quickly. They fully understand how to take care of the customer. While I doubt I will need another camera anytime soon, I would not hesitate a second to purchase something from this seller again. So even though we had a slight miss, they more than covered the issue. So, Excellent camera, great price and an excellent seller. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • great camera value
I already own the Panasonic Lumix FZ300 which has a smaller zoom but I left in my house in Africa while visiting the USA and was stuck here during Pandemic. I have a chance to do some wildlife photos and decided to purchase the newer model FZ80 with more zoom. The zoom is great and versatile at 20-1200 so it has a great wide angle and good optical zoom. I like the fact they removed the Electronic View Finder sensor that picks up movement around the eyepiece and switches from the screen to the eyepiece. I do not like the fact they fixed the touchscreen screen on the back (the FZ300 has one that you can flip for doing self videos like on YouTube). I took the camera out to a local park and the zoom did great. High detail quality fully extended. The small waterfall is the normal view at one point and the geese head is fully zoomed out at the same point. The large waterfall gives you a view of the wide-angle. The macro setting for the flowers was great. This camera does not have the microphone jack like the FZ300 which is disappointing. Overall the camera is a really good Bridge camera with fixed lens especially for the price. Most of my disappointments are personal taste and may not affect you but wanted to give as complete a picture as possible. ... show more

  • Nice Travel Camera
Nice camera with large zoom for travel. Weather resistant. Small sensor so not as sharp as the larger sensor sizes in some cameras. Low light level is a problem. Otherwise it works as expected. I looked at many reviews so no big surprises, with they would have upgraded the focus method.

  • March 1st 2026 picture of the full moon
I had boughten this to take on my first Alaskan cruise. It took a little bit of getting used to but I figured it out that when zooming in and it gets blurry just hold the button until it clears up and let go of the button to take the picture. Once I figured that one out I was able to take some pretty good pictures of the moon. It's a very easy camera to figure out on how to use it. I can't wait to take it into the hills to get some pictures of the plants and even Mt. Rainier. I need to dig out some tripods and figure out how to attach it so I can take some pictures of the milky way or even an Aurora Borealis or two. I love seeing people's pictures of the Northern Lights including the Milky Way. Now I can take some awesome pictures myself :) ... show more

  • Great camera for amateur photos, great customer service from Adorama
This review is both for the camera and the seller Adorama. Camera is great for my needs, lightweight with all features working as expected. I didn't buy it for the WiFi, but even that part works well. I was able to transfer photos to my phone without any issue. The zoom on the camera is great, I was able to get some nice moon pictures using a tripod. Any gripes? Yes, if it also supported Bluetooth, that would even be better. Also I cannot understand why the video files cannot be transferred over WiFi. Still, none of these are deal breakers. Now the seller. Adorama did not ship the 32GB SD card and the software package details with their original shipment. However, after a phone call to their support number, I got all the missing SD card and software license codes in the second shipment in about 5 days. Mistakes can happen. The important thing is, they rectified it as fast as they could. That's the type of seller I would like to work with and I can recommend without any hesitation. ... show more

  • It takes a licking and keeps on clicking!
As expected, it worked great on my tours of Glacier NP and on Kenyan Safari in Nairobi and Masai Mara National Park. I have been getting a lot of comments of "Awesome" on my recent Safari pics. I look forward to years of good use I've had experience with a similar model of this Camera in 2023 documenting a hazardous waste site in NY as a Professional Engineer and State Construction Inspector where I shot 25 to 60 photos daily for 1.5 years under all kinds of weather. My photos got similar comments. ... show more

  • Great zoom feature at a good price.
I wanted a camera to photograph birds. The 60x zoom is great for this purpose. And the price for the camera makes it a good value. But this is a complex machine. The paper manual is not adequate, and the internet download version is complicated. It took a while to determine that I had to create a custom focusing mode to photograph birds behind brush. I still have not been able to download from the camera to my iPad, but a card reader works fine. I will continue my education. ... show more

  • Not worth the money
Paid a lot of money for this camera and it’s no better than a point in shoot. I bought it to go on a trip. The pictures are hardly ever in focus. You blow them up. They’re fuzzy. I would not waste the money on this camera.
