  • Solid unit from a high-rated manufacturer, works good
Nice compact, very functional unit, at decent price. Easy to program, turn off auto door lock. Beeps that I wish I could reduce in volume. Same with auto shut off of clock a few minutes after use -- OK for me but should be user settable. Weight and on/off power pulsing indicate it's got conventional transformer-capacitor-diode circuit, which MAY be more durable than complex inverter. But in event of power failure, the relatively simple components in this design should make it easier to diagnose the cause and parts less costly to replace. ... show more

  • Worst Microwave I've Ever Used Worst Microwave I've Ever Used
Appears that the light is mounted in the wrong place so none of the light actually makes it inside the oven and it just lights the inside walls. Only a very narrow strip seen on the left side in the photo is illuminated. Lux level measured in the center of the microwave is 2 lux, I measured an old Panasonic microwave with the same meter and it shows 50 lux. Buttons are extremely small and mushy, have to be pressed multiple times to register every few presses. Door release button sticks half the time. I thought I was getting an upgrade replacing my 30 year old microwave, big mistake. Also there is ZERO support from Panasonic for consumer products like microwaves, there is no way to get a hold of a person to ask questions, file a complaint etc, they don't even have this model listed under their support page for microwaves. That also means no warranty outside of Amazon's 30 days. ... show more

  • Great Countertop Microwave! Great Countertop Microwave!
This is a fantastic microwave! It is a powerhouse, works beautifully, cooks everything through evenly and has a bunch of options and settings for every type of food item. It is super chic looking, and makes very little noise. I have a couple minor complaints... the time clock will not stay on. I am unsure if this is a power saving thing, but I scoured through the instruction manual and there is nothing on it to keep it on. The other issue is the door lever, it sometimes gets stuck and can be difficult to open the door, will take one or two really hard pushes to unlatch. Other than that it is a good size, not too big and not too small. Its a decent weight, only requires one person to move around. This is also great for defrosting frozen items. I have used it for beef and chicken so far and it works quickly. I am super happy overall with this microwave and definitely recommend it! ... show more

  • A Worthy Upgrade for Daily Tasks
After upgrading from a 700W microwave to this 900W Panasonic model, the improvement in performance is noticeable. While 200 watts might seem like a small jump on paper, this unit handles reheating and defrosting with significantly more consistency than my previous appliance. Power Efficiency: The 900W output hits a "sweet spot" for countertop models, providing enough power to heat food quickly without requiring the massive footprint of a larger family-sized unit. Reliable Results: Even without the inverter technology found in some of Panasonic's higher-end models, this unit avoids the dreaded "lava-hot edges with a frozen center" issue common in smaller, lower-wattage microwaves. Practical Features: The Sensor Cook and Reheat settings are genuinely useful, and the 0.9 cu. ft. capacity feels spacious enough for standard dinner plates and common containers, making it a great fit for a standard kitchen setup. Build Quality: The stainless steel finish looks professional and is easy to maintain. The interface is intuitive, and the addition of features like the child lock and keep warm function adds a layer of convenience that my old 700W unit lacked. Overall, this has been an excellent replacement. It feels sturdier and more capable than budget-tier models, making it a solid choice if you need a reliable, compact machine that actually gets the job done right the first time. ... show more

  • Works very well fits in smaller places great.
Nice little microwave with the added feature and piece of mind for those with “helpful” little fingers. -It came in well packaged and in perfect shape. -It seems well made with the materials being sturdy. The buttons are all smooth and respond perfectly. -It does have a short cord but all our microwaves do so we just have some15amp bars/cords to solve this issue. -The child lock does come in handy when you have little ones around because you can’t be everywhere at once. Also on that note it can also be easily disabled by an older child or adult, but yes from a 3 year old you are safe. -It does have a clock, although who actually uses the clock on a microwave any more? On that note it is a bit silly though because the display times out anyway. -The push button to open does take a bit of pressure but no more so than other push to open microwaves. -We have not had that “2 minute after shut down beep issue” that some people have stated. -It is small and compact and fits under the cupboard on the counter where a bunch of others would not. -The keep warm feature is a great help. The other cook settings and features also work well and as intended. -The quality and size match the listing photos perfectly. -The current price of $145 may be a bit high for a microwave this size but with the quality and the brand name backing it it seems well worth it. Overall this microwave is working great and holding up perfectly to the super use 3 teens have been putting it through. ... show more

  • Doesn't have Sensor Cook feature
I ordered model no. NN-SB42QS and will probably return it even though I love how quiet it is. I paid extra to get Sensor Cook and Reheat, which is a more advanced technology than Auto Cook, but this model only has Auto Cook. Also surprising is that the clock is programmed to turn itself off after using the microwave, so I can't use this microwave for a kitchen clock unless I walk over to it and touch a button on the display. ... show more

  • Frightening/startling beep 2minutes after use and clock disappears
Clock doesn’t stay on the display then beeps 2 minutes later to scare you no way to disable to beeps. Checked online can’t fix either(2x start method doesn’t work just cycles metric and imperial) sad they took that away.Tried everything. It was difficult enough finding one that fit and didn’t have that “child safety” trigger. Not a fan of products/companies that force “Eco” and “power saving” ... show more

  • Exactly What We Were Looking For Exactly What We Were Looking For
We've been using this microwave for a couple days now and its a lot more than we expected. Our old microwave would take so long to heat things up. Heating a cup of coffee would take about 3 to 4 minutes in the microwave. On the other hand, this microwave heats up a cup of coffee in 30 seconds or one minute. Its very quick and powerful. Really does the job it was meant to do. The sleek modern look this microwave oven has on the exterior and interior is very appealing. The lights inside are a little dim, but that isnt an issue. I never thought a child lock would come necessary with a microwave, but with two toddlers at home, I can trust the microwave wont cause any harm or accidents. The controls and features are all very easy to get a hang of. Size is very decent, it actually fits nicely between the counter and the cupboards. If you do order this microwave, make sure to remove all the protective film inside. We thought we were done removing most of it, until we turned it on and it started smelling like burnt plastic. Just be aware of that. I definitely think its worth the money. It looks very neat, does its job very well, and it feels like it will last us years. Forgot to mention, this microwave is actually incredibly quiet. No loud humming or weird noises. Thank you, Amazon. ... show more
